  • Nice song could some tell us the meaning of what he was singing about....it is a torching song!.

  • kimpa ki sangamene kuna zulu means a mystical event has occured in the sky kimpa = mystery , zulu = sky, heavens

It is a mystical song which describe events , experience taking place in the astral ..which franco has contextualised in his own personal experience related to the death of his brother

You will notice that in this song the lead guitar is the bass , which makes it deep and mystical

  • Denoncez les grand Maitre !!!!

  • Thank you AboubacarSiddikh. You are blessed man for posting this. Bless you a thousand times.

  • Abana ba KINSASHA!! Is this really dead? A real legend he is LUAMBO!!!

  • Thank you M. Siddikh for this one. It evokes the spirit of the ones long gone. Not at all that different -- the two genres, that is. Michael Jackson was not afraid to tap deep into his African aspect. He was a musical genius in his own right.

  • RIP VIEUX NGOZ_ELEC

  • Pride Africa and Kongo very good Kikongo song.

    never forget Grand maitre.

  • @ aboubacarsiddik Zeer goede collectie dank je vriend

  • @aboubacardiddikh, or who ever you are , let me tell you for sure that you are now our Franco, thanks for these good memories, i wish to meet you one time and by you a cup of coffee.

  • My father used to listen to this song in his car and I fell in love with it but after a time could not find it! Thank you for posting it online! Makes me go down memory lane when we used to drive to our village with my old man!

  • forget speaking the language... this is FRANCO the real MUSIC...

  • I had this son gin my collection for years and never played it. Once I played it, I fell in-love with it. Today, it's my anthem and even my wife said it was "the song" after hearing it for the first time. I am even teaching my son and our American neigbor's kid how to sing it. I'm from cameroon and think this song should live for ages to come. Franco was as talented as Michael Jackson if not more. I have some of his videos and you can see how he conducts the music. Un savant se tous les temps.

  • @GrandZangoule Michael Jackson cannot hold a candle to Franco or polish his shoes, my friend!!

  • @AboubacarSiddikh I can only say I agree. I was trying to give Michael Jackson a lot of praise and not the other way around.

  • @AboubacarSiddikh NOT A GOOD COMPARISON...DIFFERENT GENRES...THEY ARE BOTH GREAT!!!

  • @malefti I did not bring up that fake artist to begin with. And perhaps he was not so bad early on, but he died 20 years before he passed away. And he still cannot hold a candle to the most influential musician of the African continent ever. Michael Jackson was a mere footnote. Without him, African-American music would have been essentially the same, dozens of greater people preceded him. But without Franco, modern music in many African countries would have been very different.

  • @AboubacarSiddikh what are you talking about? Franco is known in Africa and MJ Worldwide. Don't even start to compare.

  • @calynette So THAT proves MJ made better music? HAHAHA!! MJ died when he started replacing his black features, lips, nose, ass, SKIN, by white ones. He was the sorriest excuse for a black man the world has EVER seen!! And a terrible example for little black children all over the world, Michael showed them to be ashamed of their blackness because he wanted to be white. He inspired black racism against their own, that makes him worse than the KKK in MY book. Child abuser too.

  • @AboubacarSiddikh i agree with you thats true.Franco was a role model for many african musicians, even our Zimbabwean greats Thomas Mapfumo and Oliver Mtukudzi they were inspired by Franco's music..

  • @zuluman2008 And Jonah Sithole in the first place, really, who got the idea to imitate the mbira with the electric guitar from listening to Franco!! That was when Thomas was still doing elvis and gospel.

  • @AboubacarSiddikh yeah sure thats true my brother u have such rich infor on your finger tips..

  • @AboubacarSiddikh yeah true that, man u have rich infor on your finger tips ,how amazing..

  • luambo UNDISPUTED

  • he worked very hard than anybody else, died poor, very poor than the outcoming musicians.. it's crazy

  • @xsmucker man he died poor? what happened with all the popularity and record sales, the live gigs i thought he died rich..was he cheated by sharks? its sad...

  • likofi ya muana mboka...kitoko trop

  • This song radiates power. If Franco never made anything even slightly below par, this one is even better than the rest. A superb performance of a mighty song.

  • ya fouala. Géant.

  • Most, if not all, of Congolese music artists worked very hard composing their music. The music is loved by almost all Africans both old and young.

I wonder why this music cannot be used to rally Africans to liberate itself for the grip of foreigners exploiters.

The real beneficiaries of the music seem to be the Europeans who have recording rights to most of it, people like Pathe Brothers of France.

  • I love this song

  • Sidikh, I have to agree on one thing. Let anybody dispute but I believe you have some of the best selections on Congo Music on YOUTUBE. I have been a regular for long and the truth is that besides KINDU, you might be the only true DISCIPLES of Congo and Franco Music. I have learnt alot from you, like this song, is one of the post-80s missing in my collection and it is hard for me to explain to staff at STERN in Warren Street about it. Any chance for FC 105. They all remind me of my departed dad.

  • is it possible to get translation to this song.we love it but got idea whats its about!!

  • Please make a habit of reading the info box next to my posts!! In this case, your question would have been answered already if you had followed the second link.

  • Those of you who think this song is not one TPOK Jazz's top, please attend and watch the Kenya Police or Kenya Army play it as a marching tune - you will love it even more. The song is good and ranks as the top 20 - I don't know, TPOK Jazz is too wide for me to say.....!!

  • wazi mseiya u know music than me
