Yep, but you can never let the people around you see that you're discouraged, or they'll lose confidence in you, and then everything will collapse for sure.

I've always seen it as a war. I advance and take some territory, but sometimes have to retreat, but dig in and fight like hell to keep what I have, before advancing again.

Using war and sports metaphors is helpful to put things in perspective. I always look at elite military forces and top olympians or athletes as examples.

Exactly, the ED-209 told me when it comes to dealing with problem employees or difficult clients that he just politely gives them 30 seconds to comply and that "its all in the wrist".

Then again, his wrists are machine guns. :D

Not sure what type of business you are starting, but it sounds as though it is selling goods through multiple channels. Not the type of business I personally would ever get into, but in this economy, this may be a tough sell, depending on the goods / services you are getting into. Good luck with it :-)

I know the walls you refer to. I'm at the stage of planning to start a company now. Its the chicken and the egg story - you can't have one without the other to have a viable business and each is a wall. I need tooling before I can make stock, I need stock before I can even attract customers and I need the income from the customers to pay for the tooling, premises, staff and everything else anyway! If somehow I can have the lot at once though, I know this idea will take off.
