The thing is that Jeremiah wasn't written with chapters or verses. No book in the Bible was. The chapters and verses were added later to help find passages easier. And the chapter/verse system used today is very poor to be quite honest (people lose the context of certain messages because of it, leading to poor interpretation).

This could be the calm before the storm; the west has a severe debt crisis, Iran is about to have nukes, Israel may be about to attack Iran, etc. It could be a perfect storm for the US and the west; the currency could collapse, there could be a nuclear war in the middle east cutting off oil to the west and Russia would back Iran and the US would back Israel and cause WWIII.

That's why of the hundreds of different translations of the Bible into hundreds of different languages the words may be translated differently but the verse numberings are almost always identical. Matthew's Olivet Discourse is a good example. Matthew 24:9-26 are divided into a 666 (Antichrist) pattern and the following 15 verses, 24:27-41, are divided into a 555 (Rosary) pattern. That is not accidental.
