All Ruth did was the traffic and other than that just a human laugh track. And that was the problem, she has the worst laugh of all time. It makes me kringe. I'm glad they fired her but she seems to be a permanent "guest" every morning and now she is just a human laugh track only.

So it seems that's all she was good for in the first place. They had to let her go for being redundant.

I do agree that Ruth should not have been fired but it could have been done for valid reasons like tardiness. Do you really think they would fire Shelley? If Shelley was fired, the show would be over. They must not suck that bad as they started at KGB in 1990. 19 years ago!

San Diego is the #1 overrated city in America. It has over 100 days of 100% cloudcover every year and spring doesn't start until Just 1st! = blue skies. Plus there is nothing special about the beaches in San Diego! and the countless homeless people pee all over the downtown sidewalks.

I guess it just depends on your friends and what you do.

I was raised there (probably biased), had a ton of great friends and was never bored! It's the only place I knew of you could go snowboarding and surfing in the same day!

I'll move back there someday.

Oh I have good friends there and a job I hated to leave(actually my best job ever), but I (after day one) realized that San Diego is 80% and 20% good temps. Do you realize that SD has on average 111 days of 100% cloud cover per year. I don't surf or s-board, so that's not a factor. I plan to visit there in 10-20, but only to see the changes.

We do get june gloom. And it lasts for a month.

But right now it's January 9th and it's about 80 degrees outside, as opposed to the freezing temperatures throughout the country. I'd take a month of cloud cover over freezing temperatures any day.

Okay, first off, chill the fuck out. It's a city, not a religion, so there's no need to get your panties in a bunch. I never said it was America's "finest city", I just said that I like it and I like living here. And second, I don't understand why someone is so upset over a CITY. If you don't like it, then move. You achieved that, so have your own little party and stop trying to "correct" everyone because you know everything. You might want to get the stick out of your ass, too. Ouch.

Hey, there's no reason to get nasty. If you spend any time listening to SD radio or SD local news, everyday you'll hear Radio and TV people bragging that SD is America's Finest City, but they NEVER follow up with examples. It does seem to be a religion, good point. If you are asking for votes, I'd say NYC, New Orleans and Miami easily score higher tha SD. I do miss Todai's Seafood Buffet!
