  • @theydidntnameme The point of the first exercise is to do an upright row and a squat at the same time.

  • @eriksmindset but i mean doesnt this make the row almost effortless? because i tried something like this awhile ago (a fly while doing reverse lunge) and it felt like since i was doing the lunge at the same time that i was barely working my shoulders...

  • @theydidntnameme If it feels effortless while doing so i would say that you should either increase the weight or just do the row before the squat.

    I could never figure out what I was doing wrong all those yrs with weights.

    I used to do squats with wieghts and jumping squats...could never dunk.I had ups though.

    Then I come here and see shorty training with 5lbs dumbells

  • @thomasNzach He definitely could tighten up his form on both exercises, but I couldn't agree with you more. The dude only put this on here to help people! You just don't want to steer people in the wrong direction or teach them bad form if you are going to put vids up. Anyone that puts exercise vids up on youtube with the intention of not showing off, and soley to help people shouldn't be ripped a part!

  • Hey, I watched your videos recently, I noticed your lead leg as you mentioned in this video is your right, is this abnormal for right handed people? Because i noticed this for me as well... i plant my right foot first to jump but i noticed many right handed ppl have left lead legs for jumping... i'm 5'9 and i landed my first few dunks on a 9'5 rim(check my channel for the video), youre my motivation for 10feet! thanks !!

  • @cloudn9necinema Jumpsoles = waste of money, all they work is your calves, and studies show that the same exercises given from jumpsoles; from a person training regular shoes with jumpsole program got better results

  • @UnF0cuS yep. Jumpsoles are bulk in the foot. It's better to do plyometrics with light foot and full reactive contact so it's like a tire, transferring the force well from the legs. The force comes from the prime movers, legs, core, back.

    There's thing called "amortization phase". google kelly bagget higher faster site and read about the article about the foot.

  • The reverse upright row is great. My quads and shoulders were BOTH fired up and exhausted after the 4th set. I did the Deer step lunges after wards and it was AWESOME. My legs and quads felt like jello after my workout and the next day my quads for sooooo sore... i think what did was the reverse rows pre-exhausted your legs so when you do the deer step it makes it that much harder cause your already tired and it makes your quads work even harder to explode yourself up off the ground. awesome.

  • get your deer step lunge right! that one exercise alone can put you in a wheelchair for a good hour.

  • @livein101112 is absolutely right: viewers out there who plan on doing the deer step lunge please be careful if its your first time attempting this exercise. Start with your body weight first do a few reps and once the form becomes natural to you, you can add weight. Although i suggest using just your body weight for the first few weeks to get your body used to explosive athletic training.
