@grimdawg83 Definitely clean it before you fire it for the first time. Buy a 9mm boresnake and run it through a couple times. I also like to lightly oil any moving parts. Any excess oil will be burn up when you shoot and gets really smoky. I use make up brushes to apply a coat of oil to the slide, remove finger prints and keep it looking clean in general. You can use cloths too but I get better results with a soft brush.
@grimdawg83 7 day waiting period? I live in PA so I got mine the same day. I love it. Sig is supposed to be releasing extended magazines for them but who knows when we'll actually see them. Make sure you don't rest your thumb on the slide stop when you shoot it. I was doing that and thought there was something wrong with my mags because the slide wasn't locking back on empty. I'm not used to it being back that far. It definitely isn't a bad thing, just took some getting used to.
