@alianchild, You're not wise for not learning the greek translation of the word, "Generation", that Jesus repetitively used in that sense. The alternative translation of the word is "γενεά", and it sometimes can denote an age of time. Sometimes, the word can denote eternity. You see it used in that sense plenty of times in the old testament. "Everlasting GENERATION" is one example. Interestingly, the last age of time preceding Christ's 2nd coming, is called the Church AGE. Keep learning.

@alianchild, The laws were fulfilled in Christ. Take for example the holiday of Passover, which was fulfilled in Christ's crucifixion. Take for example the seven feasts holidays. Again, fulfilled in Christ. Now if you're talking about the old Mosaic Law, which was specifically given to Israel for a limited time only, until Christ came, then you need to read that those laws were accomplished and are done away with. Paul writes in the New Testament that the Mosaic Law was completed.

The alternative translation of the word is "γενεά", and it sometimes can denote an age of time. Sometimes, the word can denote eternity. You see it used in that sense plenty of times in the old testament. "Everlasting GENERATION" is one example. Interestingly, the last age of time preceding Christ's 2nd coming, is called the Church AGE. Keep learning.

Why does he keep referring to NYC as the heartland. The heartland refers mainly to the midwest but is more a general term for rural areas known for their traditional values. Of all the places in America NYC is the place least likely to be known of as the "heartland"

Gotta say, I admire this guy and the state of New York now. I notice he's not shouting threats of imaginary punishments or being verbally or visually offensive at all. I agree if a man can go on the street and preach gays and atheist are going to hell I have every right to inform people that there theological based prejudices are unsubstantiated in that they can't prove there is a god much less god even cares that people are gay or atheists. I will backtalk any theologian that preaches hellfire because IAm aGoodPersonAndIt is my inalienable right to defend myself against discrimination and prejudice. How do you know that you god doesn't need to produce? If you can't tell me where god came from you can't tell me that there is a god. Science has proved there is no god. And according to the bible, as long as you believe in Jesus as the son of god it does not matter what you do, because acts dont matter, its belief that matters. If I use my brain and use logic so I cant believe in god and then live a selfless and wonderful life, I go to hell. @alianchild, Yes. The commandments are still valid. Jesus said that He didnt come to destroy the law, but to fulfill and expand many more commandments within the law. Jesus is the focal point of the religion, but he didnt abolish the law. Many christians today are saying that once saved, always saved. That's pure blasphemy in my opinion. John Calvin misread scriptures and didnt consider the other passages that contradicted him. He said that heaven is for christian murderers, sexual perverts etc.

@alianchild, The laws were fulfilled in Christ. Take for example the holiday of Passover, which was fulfilled in Christ's crucifixion. Take for example the seven feasts holidays. Again, fulfilled in Christ. Now if you're talking about the old Mosaic Law, which was specifically given to Israel for a limited time only, until Christ came, then you need to read that those laws were accomplished and are done away with. Paul writes in the New Testament that the Mosaic Law was completed.

@alianchild, (continued)...Certain aspects of the Law, such as the governemental laws, were completed and fulfilled in Christ. The jewish holidays point to Christ. However, the ten commandments and the laws that were given for the benefit of the people of God, are still worthy to keep. We are now under the Covenant of Grace. However, that doesnt mean that Christians can act like devils and still commit horrible crimes and get away with it. We will be eternally punished for what we do.
