Some naysayers continue to reference Gore as a source of the science. He is not. Spend a few moments researching what the scientific institutions have said about GW. Gore's comments reflect THEIR findings. NO credible institution has concluded otherwise on the basics. Humanity is influencing the climate and the consequences may be dire. This is a fact.

Did you know the UN misrepresented data with their hockey stick graphs? That they omitted the Medieval Warm Period?
Did you know the hottest year in the last 100 years in the US was 1934? 80% of man made CO2 was emitted AFTER that year.

Another fun fact is that the global atmospheric temperature has been in statis for the last 8 years. That's a bit of a problem to your man-made global warming theory, isn't it? Yes, we are in a warm period, but we know too well that temperature drives C02, not the other way around.

and check out the temperature graph. Did Gore or the IPCC show the Medieval warm period in their graphs/presentations? The IPCC has since dropped the 'hockey stick' from its reports. Most AGW groups have not. Has Gore amended the documentary?

GW is no BS. EVERY major institution that has studied climate change agrees that humanity is at least partially to blame. There's been a lot of corporate propaganda to the contrary.
There will be costs but consider them investments. What's the return? We better future habitability of the planet, lower dependence on foreign oil, and incourage new green industries that will help our economy.

400 parts per million of the Earths atmosphere is carbon dioxide. 1/10 of that is man-made. How could it possibly make a difference?
We know conclusively form ice-core records that temperature drives C02 levels, not the other way around.
The warmest year in the last 100 years was 1934 and 80% of manmade C02 was generated after that year. To use your terms, 'does that make a dent'?
