Its funny how this Allied warpropaganda does not show a single German child or women burnt to death.

But these were the exact targets. The women and children were murdered by the Allies deliberately. So why do not show the real targets?

Amerians and British lied back then, and they lie today.

@Elberiver11 Because they weren't targeted purposefully. The Allies were bombing railway lines, factories, or other war vital targets. Sure there were civilian casualties, but that's exactly why war is such a bad thing. People die. The Nazis did the same thing when they attacked other countries; there civilians died as well.

Ppl talking about the rights & wrongs of WW2 bombing forget that there was little of the technology available now to avoid civilian casualties and just as in Coventry, Liverpool etc it was necessary to wipe out a city to ensure the destruction of one factory

German civilians needed to be specifically targetted, so they would learn that WAR IS BAD. And it worked, Germans didn't have the guts to go to war for the 3rd time.

But you didn't talk about fighting, but about teaching. It ist not very soldierly to deliberatley carpet bomb civilians or strafing them with machine guns.

Interestingly enough a lot of allied air raids didn't target industries or supply lines, but civilian housing areas.

A questionable method of warfare. But perehaps it is the tradition of Sand Creek, where the US Army has "educated" native Americans and taught them civilization.

At the end of First World War, Germany surrendered without a single foreign soldier on his soil. There is no way German civilians experienced the harsh reality of the war, and therefore they were very willing to go to war again.

How many Germans thought they were going to win the war this time when the war went so well in the first two years?

How many German civilians finally realized the harsh reality of the war when millions of German soldiers were killed, young boys sacrificed their lives to defend Berlin, and the million women raped by the Soviets?

No, they are nowhere near the Nazis. Beyond the systematic murder of 11 million people the Nazis did the exact same type of ariel attack on cities including cities which had already surrendered just to show that they could. The Nazis starved the population of Leningrad and committed frequent civillian massacres. They starved POWs and performed brutal experiments on internees intheir camps and that's just a partial list. The allies killed civillians but they were nowhere near the Nazis.

Civillians are the most innocent people to bomb. The POW's were treated just as good with the nazis as with any the enemy. And the nazis didn't rape civillians unlike the allies. And the population of stalingrad was in war at the time.. it's not like the sovjets gave them any food. if the axis had won the allies would be called the great murderers... etc. cause the allies only tell what they want you to know.

The Holocaust plus 25 million Russians plus millions of other European civilians including 67 million Poles vs less then 1 million German civilians killed in bombing means nowwhere near the Nazis. And the Germans sowed the wind allowing Bomber Harris to reap the whirlwind! Though US bombing and fighters won the air war.

Germany was bombing civillians long before allied planes even touched a German city. The Nazis didn't rape civillians because they were to busy machinegunning them into ditches, gassing them, placing them in forced labor camps until they were too weak to work and then disposing of them via one of the previous methods and keeping meticulos records on all of it.

Like the american didn't do or don't do that. England had concentration camps for jews too because they were concidered spies... And the german didn't rape people because of the image of the pure aryan. The german bombed harbours and military places at first. then one night they bombed london thinking they were bombing the harbour. Germany strangly enough apologised but england started bombing german cities and the game was on...

yeah i totally understand that, like the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in text books they justify that by bombing those cities it saved the lives of many, but it was at the cost of civillians which is even worse in my opinion.
