if you don't like using hot corners for Expose, why not use the keyboard hot-keys if you have a Mac Keyboard? Theres a specific key for Expose & you could easily program F5 & F6 for Spaces & Desktop!
its called muscle memory like martial artists. you do it without thinking. but it makes more sense to scroll with one finger not 2. IMO. Great Vid. I use my thumb and pinky finger to hold and use the gestures most the time.
It honestly amazes me how you're able to make a review series where each installment is at least 8 minutes long on a mouse, and your videos still don't get boring.
phew....i read ur comment and i was like oh no its gonna say YOUR BORING NOW.lol. u said STILL DONT GET BORING.lol....ye i try as hard as possible, its in my nature to make LONG BORING DETAILED VIDS THAT ARE IMPORTANT, but this time i made loads of vids but cut them down to 8-11 mins, makes more sense and is more VIEWER FRIENDLY ! thanks for the comment !
For me on the top right and left hot corners I set it that you have to press command along with having your cursor at the corner, though I usually just use the bottom left and right of the screen for hot corners.
the logitech scroll is great but the scroll wheel loses it's touch after a couple of years of use. yes, a couple of "years" which is great but not having a wheel at all is the best thing, in my opinion.
Magic mouse is great. For those of you complaining that you ose the side buttons to do expose, spaces ect... Get the application Xgesture! You'll be able to do all that plus tons more by simply double clicking and dragging
Maybe it is cause i am so used to my macbook now and hardly ever use a pc.
for me, the main function of ctrl on a mac is for the right click and nothing else, so much so, when i see something (such as controls for a flash game) and ctrl is used for something i always use command first as that is usually what does the trick on a mac,
I really dont like this mouse. Many Applications need you to right click and hold to do something. Problems I always have with the trackpad on my Macbook pro. yes I know of the control click for right click, but it does not work in many of the applications, plus when playing games, do you really want to press ctrl to just press right click? Decent mouse for web surfing. For most other tasks, not a great mouse..
im a bit confused you dont have to press ctrl for the right click, u can enable so you can have a corner of the track pad for right click....i am assuming that u have the aluminium macbook or the new macbook pros with the glass multi-touch support trackpad
Well, I know that you can press the right corner of it to right click, but I'm sure it would have the same problem the mighty mouse did in which the two buttons affected each other and the right click was just too hard to hit accurately. I have the macbook pro before the unibody and it only has one button, you can use a two finger tap to right click, but you cant hold it.
ahh ok ye, well i mean its not perfect and far from normal.lol. if you know apple, they always think a little different and as a result do things THE WAY THEY WANT IT. but it doesnt work for everyone
Wow this looks so good, i've always hated the apple mouse/mighty mouse, i've had 2 of them and the crappy scroll ball broke on bother and the clicks just suck, looking forward to buying this
you say PC, but im really not sure if it will work with your pc, i think the MOUSE will work but not the gestures, jus do some research, dont want to waste your money !
well...it should work as a STANDARD MOUSE, i can say that, if bluetooth works nice on windows...but no way do i see the gestures working, just what i think
i made the adjustment to hot corners quite well, i think it works quite well. Try putting spaces and expose on the bottom, since you don't mouse around down there as often.

You could try using BetterTouchTool to add more functionality to the Magic Mouse. It's in Beta but the Expose/Spaces functions work fine for me :)

is it smooth enough for normal plastic desks? does it feel like as if the black strips at the bottom is going to wear down?

I love hot corners! You will get use to not hitting it.

I always use hot corners on my MB 13". I prefer it to the 4 finger swipe up and down.

Does the mouse ever miss a gesture or detect the wrong gesture?
Jaayyssoonnn 2 years ago

I'm saying that for many apps, a mouse with buttons that are individual of each other is much better. not one surface.

wait.. why is the zoom control with the magic mouse, but command on a macbook with the trackpad.
Jambo333 2 years ago
@Jambo333 . its not, its called "system preferences".
chives 2 years ago
Yea i know it is editable, you would just assume that it would be command by default as it is command by default with a trackpad
Jambo333 2 years ago
it's still control and use of the track pad on a macbook i just tried it on my macbook pro and it's control and not command
