  • This album exceeded my expectations. The album elucidated the past story beautifully and still managed to pull at my heartstrings; holding true to the MiaB ambiance instilled from the genesis. Mind.In.A.Box. is unparallelled, poignant, and remains unique in it's genre-defying excellence. Bravo.

  • What does everyone else think of this album? I don't like how passive it is compared to Crossroads. Every song seems more like ambiance than music, as if it belongs in a movie soundtrack. It's a great album, but a step down from Crossroads IMO.

  • I want those photos

  • pience of $hit

  • the music certainly lives up to the name of the album! Perfect fit, reminiscent sound!

  • хочу снова услышать их в Москве)

  • ...da habt ihr ein wahrhaftig genial'es album erschaffen...

  • Purchased digitally today! I'm up to Transition and it's awesome! It'd be hilarious if music like this started being played on US radios, and our music industry had to compete with actual talent.

  • @spacelunacy Agreed. On basically all that honestly. Nothing I can add.

  • BEST ALBUM 2012! :)

  • @spacelunacy I prefer to call the music "Cyberpunk" music. Between the lyrics and the general sound style, just seems like the idea.

This album sounds much more... active than the others. Music and vocals are louder, more tempo. Then again, revelations tend to be loud, not quiet.

  • Good album, got it today!

  • HOLY FUCKING CHRIST! WHERE CAN I BUY THIS NOW!!!

  • @tehfu2 It's on Spotify if you have an account :)

  • Das beste seit der Erfindung des Rades. ;)

    Danke für das Spitzenalbum!

  • Hey Stefan. Sehr nett, weiter so! :)

  • Congratulations Stefan and the band. Revelations is an amazing piece of musical art.

  • After listening to this set of snippets, go to Amazon and the mp3 downloads section and you can hear other segments from the same songs. This album is going to be GREAT!!

I guess that went without saying, it's m.i.a.b

  • Out this Friday YEAH! (in europe)

  • As a Sith Darkness Assassin, I vouch for this album. One of the best bands to ever be.

  • this.is.original MIAB

  • R.E.T.R.O. was a pretty good album. Whatever Mattered (especially, ESPECIALLY the live cut) is one of the best MIAB songs I've heard.

... almost felt like a preview of the next chapter of the story. o.o

  • @NightfallGemini Yes, 'Whatever Mattered' is my absolute favorite song on there. I seriously was like 8D when I first heard it. The music reminds me a bit of old school Depeche Mode at times.

  • Mind.in.a.box - Seabound - Acretongue - Blame = nothing gets near them.ll

  • My son turned me onto MIAB and electronic music in general. We were ripped off in the seventies with the exception of Moody Blues and Led Zepplin!! MIAB is fantastic!! I have every CD they have put out and have pre-ordered this one. No matter what age you are good music can be appreciated by everyone!!

  • @moxidrinker its retro and new age fantasticness in every way i love it, shit makes me wanna come to tears how frikkin amazing it is : / MIAB 4EVER

  • Sounds much better than their last album (which was awful).

  • @MasterExploder61

while I also agree Crossroads wasn't as fantastically perfect as Lost Alone and Dreamweb was, it was still well done. What used to be, Fear, and amnesia were good tracks, but the overall feel of crossroads was too storydriven, and not as personally relatable as the first 2 albums were. This album sounds like its going to be like miab's roots, and thats a good thing.

  • @doomzdaychikn Actually I was referring to R.E.T.R.O.

  • @MasterExploder61 oh lol well, i think RETRO was a success. I mean, sure its not for everyone, because of the specific form of what it was, but it definitely was a nice touch. I'm actually glad there are talented and original composers and songwriters out there still, because a lot of stuff today is just rehash and it gets old. Its nice to hear something unique everyone once in a while I think, even if it's off the norm of what an artist usually does

  • @doomzdaychikn I'm a fan of artists of particular genres thinking outside the box, but unique never always means good and R.E.T.R.O. was unique for all the bad reasons. I've always considered MiaB a bit weeaboo but that album took it to a new level, also catering to pretentious nerds who can't get over the fact their era is gone.

If you understand metal, I can relate that album to Metallica's St. Anger and recently, Lulu, that it's an attempt to be unique, but it comes out a mess

  • well it was indeed a love it or hate it release, but then again...BECAUSE it was, like you said, aimed at a particular audience, it is already establishing its demographic. Its not boasting about how its all encompassing or 'casual listening.'

Having a specific audience in mind may be excluding, but knowing and understanding MIAB did it to honor and remember that old generation stands as what I consider to be a great tribute for people to appreciate. Plus, its MIAB's roots anyway

  • @doomzdaychikn I absolutely disagree. Crossroads is my favorite album of all time. The first two felt like they had potential, but didn't sound technically as good. Crossroads hit the mark perfectly with some of the most amazing sound possible. Revelations is sounding just as good, too.

  • @viralinfecticide

to each his own, of course. I aint gonna argue about which work an artist did best, becauase thats left up to personal opinion. I like the first 2 because they feel like "real, everyday stories" that can be applied to anything. Crossroads is obviously specific to the miab story (excluding songs like Fear and what used to be)

Im just glad to see miab doing new and different things. Its all fantastic music....what is there to disagree about? lol

    ps i love crossroads too

  • @spacelunacy You Should check out the Acretongue - Strange Cargo album.. A lot more similar than liquid divene and my fav album of the 2011

  • Hello from the US! Eagerly waiting for the 24th for the international release!

  • I think my 2012 was just given purpose.

  • Awesomness!

  • Definite buy, when the album comes out.

    Good work M.I.A.B!

  • this is R N B not electronic from the mind in a box i used to love.

  • @deeroks1 rnb? hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha no

  • @deeroks1 Exaggeration? Pretty much.

  • ...13day's ago black is back on the crossroads...great...

  • what a well made teaser! loved those graphics!

  • I am so very excited for this album, been a long time coming

  • I feel like a nine year-old waiting for his new bike at Christmas ... This teaser sounds like the album will be nothing short of totally EPIC ... Great work guys ... I hope you can do some touring in the US sometime soon !!!

  • OMGGG THIS TEASER SUCKSSSS!!!...................why??? cuz it does a fine job of teasing me like a fat kid at recess :(

    hurry up release date!!

  • This just sounds amazing. I cannot stop listening. So looking forward to getting this album on the 20th. ...and Happy New Year! (01/01/12 today)

  • CAN'T WAIT!!!

  • This, right now, is my favorite song in the world. Every part of this album sounds spine-tinglingly epic. I can't stop listening to this over and over and over and...

  • @turtlesarecool99 Couldn't agree more.

  • Sounds amazing. One of my favourite bands.

My absolute favourite band is of course Depeche Mode but Mind.in.a.box is high up on my list.

It seems to be a bit more normal vocals on this album.

Great!!! I really like the vocals. Looking forward to this album.

  • I don't think I've ever been more pumped for a new album from any band, ever. MIAB, you are amazing.

  • just amazing cant wait

  • My name is commander Shepherd and Mind.In.A.Box is my favorite band on the Citadel.

  • @turtlesarecool99 HAHAHHA! BEST COMMENT EVER!! ;O)

  • i like miab alot too but i only partially agree with this futurepop commentary. i like them almost as much as say, code 64 or colony 5 amongst several other related acts.. new stuff sounds ok for me.. not sure if im into this singing as much as previous albs..

  • MIAB Y U SO AWESOME?

  • I want one of the signed albums :( . . .

  • We need more music in this genre. Sure, there are other futurepop artists, but none (except for maybe Liquid Divine) come remotely close to a similar sound to mind.in.a.box.

  • @Draje0 I disagree. Keep MIAB unique! I also love Seabound and Edge of Dawn...

  • finally

  • Well, if 2012 is indeed the end of mankind the lights will go out with some damn great music.

  • I can haz now?

  • omg omg and omg

  • A brilliant band !!!!

  • Can´t wait to have it in my hands!

    - January: New MIAB-Album, Story around Black continues: Yes

    - March: Mass Effect 3 release: YES

I already love 2012. The only thing missing is "Neuromancer" as a Movie ...

BTW: Am i the only one, who thinks that this album would fit into a Mass Effect-Soundtrack? Shepard would most probably approve this for his favourite album on the citadel!

  • @TFox71 Yes. It also fits perfectly with the Deus Ex: Human Revolution world. I loved that game's soundtrack but MIAB could've done even more with it, I'm sure.

  • @viralinfecticide I just turn down the ingame music and listen to miab! ;o)

  • @TheSnakerino Yeah, but it isn't the same...

  • @viralinfecticide Yeah, you prob. right ;)

  • @TFox71 definetly it would work beautifully im ME3

  • ...genial'e Music...

  • This is so good that I died.

  • <3

  • Sounds like what I expected. Mind.In.A.Box.

    Welcome Back!

  • this is one group that u dont need to think if u should buy the album :). U will not be dissepointed. I have watched them live 2 times here in sweden and have all the albums. Really one of the best groups.

  • I love all that comes out of Steve´s head ;o)

Cant wait for this Album, but where is the THYX??? ;o)

  • @TheSnakerino stev said that the new thyx album maybe comes out in march

  • @nycology Oh great! Thansk for the Info!! ;o)

  • wow awesome

  • After not liking RETRO much because of the 8-bit stuff, this is going to absolutely amazing. Crossroads is still my favorite album of all time, but this is shaping up to be a challenger to that title.

  • oh this will be awesome! i really liked remember and sanctuary!

  • *quietly squees*

  • Mfw 'Remember' isn't super screamy and hardcore like the teaser version..

Well that honestly sucks... I was expecting something ear-shattering..

  • Can't wait. :(

  • Already pre ordered :D .. So looking forward to the return of Black .. Missed him with R.E.T.R.O. :( totally loving Cause and Effect atm ... REAL MIAB stuff there :)

  • @viralinfecticide "[...]dark sounds and images are hunting me[...]" ;-)

  • I'm so incredibly excited to hear Remember in it's entirety! Absolutely cannot wait for this album to get released.
