When i first listen the deluxe edition of ghost I-IV, it was pretty good track. i still have the album version of nine inch nails with no bonus tracks, so i like both version of ghost I-IV. it's a peaceful music. A+

Trent has incorporated everything from classical, alternative, experimental rock, electronic, and one that he pioneered - industrial. The man's a genius, and has continuously shifted and shaped my perception of music as a medium and an art form.

Not bad at all. Trent, he's basically on his own at this point, is good at singing, guitar and keyboards (plugged and unplugged) but sometimes he really EXCELS at programming. This is one of those times. His sense of beat timing from breakdowns to crescendos is impeccable. Reminds me of the Opal Mix of Head Like a Hole.

I think, instead of being a mix, it was one of two bonus tracks found on the vinyll version of Ghosts. The vinyll ablum was included with the limited editio, super-mega-deluxe-whatever edition that you could buy for a small fortune within the few first minutes ghosts was released.

Demon Seed to Ghosts 38 are to me like "Blue Monday" to "The Beach" by New Order. The vocal version is cool just because of the lyrics and the neat stuff that happens there, but the instrumental version is much more complex and intricate.

The only thing that's the same between the two is the beat. I wouldn't call this one an "instrumental version", or even a "version", since it just contains a few components of Demon Seed. It's a completely different song, although it appears to be somewhat related. Completely different mood and instrumentation, though.

I admit that would be really cool to see the progression, however, I also believe that some of the Ghosts songs are just pure gold. I wouldn't have them any other way, as - in a selfish manner - I don't want them to change.

They're all experiments, and for Trent to actually willfully show us the progression and the amount of change a song can go through, I'm pleased.

But I take Ghosts for what it is, and I love it.

I think it's a combination. Trent isn't happy that people steal from him, but he's also very understanding of the fight with the music industry and their gags to rip off their consumers. He despises that the industry is only focused on making a buck, so he has tried to encourage fans to "rip" the music industry off. I wouldn't say he'd tell you straightforward to always steal from him, but moreover, steal the music that you're being ripped off by - the music from under the labels.

Yeah that's a possibility as well. Though in recent shows he's said "Go ahead steal my music but buy theirs" He supports the upcoming bands so he doesn't want you to steal it all. But he did upload Closure & two "NIN Greatest Hits" albums onto torrents

I don't think he'd say that about another band, "Hey, yeah, you like me, and it's alright if you steal my music, so go ahead and steal theirs." It seems to be his own way of using his music and popularity with his fans to get back at the industry - in other words, it's his music, so he's using it as almost a tool to get back at the industry as well as give his own artistic expression.
