Tom Petty is the last rock band??? WTF??? Man, I really respect George, and I respect Tom Petty for that matter...and yeah, there's a lot of crap out there...but FUCK YOU GEORGE. I just saw Buddy Guy a few months ago by the way. I'm 43, and when I see young guys these days, I think - man, I hope things are cool with you and the ladies dig you and everything goes well. The opposite of the grumpy old man syndrome. Check my channel for some good raw blues, and forgive me for being pissed
dont worry george, your not the last of your genre, there is still hope, ME! now please send me lots of money so i can release some albums and buy more gear. :P
Someones lookin back thru rose coloured glasses here and it sounds pathetic to me.Not happy! How are kids supposed to learn anything from a name dropping elitist snob. I'm 45 and there are plenty of licks out there to be heard, it's evolution. If the music is any good it will survive despite who's performing it.
GEORGE is very balanced.rock is dead he even said it.i stopped looking when i was 15...had to dip into the past for it anyway...90s sucked.digital music rose and i changed style.i dont even listed to quote unquote "real music" anymore its all synth then if its fake then why is there notes?..its written still and if these tools been made in the early 50s then why are strings even still here? not knocking anything here its a question of evolution at this point.
I would normally agree here, but if it's truly dead, I'm out of a job. I'm part of the next wave of Dirty Guitars and Boogie. Just Rockabillied down and Punked up.
I wanted to see him when he came to my town, but he would only play for a private BMW motorcycle owners club. I pretty much stopped being a fan of his after that.
