  • Why can't i save him? For some reason, he dies whatever i do. It is really annoying..

  • is there a way for kaiden killing wrex on virmire? do you have to be female shepard? how do i do it?

  • I want Wrex on my squad in ME3!! Cant wait, I saved him cause he rules. My fav character. and btw thanx for using the default John Sheperd cause his the best

  • It's so stupid in the video that Wrex goes down when Ashley fires her first shot. When you're fighting Krogans in game it takes several shots for them to go down.

If Ashley chose to shoot Wrex without you giving the order to, there should have been an option to shoot her or punch her in the face.

  • I always...ALWAYS save Wrex even in renegade mode...he is always on my team no matter what and he is to much of a badass in the series to just throw away because you dont want to build you charm or intimidate up...all i have to say to everyone that killed Wrex in the first game is....good luck convincing the Krogan to join your cause in ME3

  • Stupid Ashley, why can't i kill her instead of Wrex?!

  • @BesorgterSimsSpieler You can, in fact, kill her. :) Just rescue Kaidan instead of her.

  • @saygoodnightmanuel I know quite a few people who sacrificed Ashley purely because she shot Wrex.

  • I wish Wrex was in my ME2 and later in ME3, but I never bothered to beat the first part of the game, besides it already got kinda old

  • If you get Wrex's family armour for him, then you don't need renegade or paragon to convince him.

  • @gundamseedathrun You can still "betray" him. No silly quest will stop renegade Shepard from being a dickhead =P

  • @Simonboy5 there is dickhead, and total complete cowardly jackass, which is what shepard becomes when he kills Wrex (if he kills Wrex)

  • @gundamseedathrun From what I've understood of my playthroughs of both ME games, there are 2 kinds of Renegade Shepard. One is just a hardcore survivalist, putting his interest before anyone else's, but the other is a xenophobic asshole who just hates all aliens. Usually renegade tackles both of those, but if you know what you're doing, you will stick to one of them. I'm thinking of the second option in this vid.

  • @Simonboy5 personally I prefer paragon, but the survivalist renegade shepard is cool too, but I can't stand the xenophobic asshole shepard. Not my style I guess.

  • iT WON;T LET ME TO NOT KILL him ,what should I do ?

  • @blalotr you had to get his family's armor.so you f***ed

  • @razingking u dont need the family Armour just high enough paragon

  • @taka3000000o relay but i played renegade and i did not kill him. so whats up with that???

  • @razingking oh then prob high enuf of either one

  • @taka3000000o i just looked it up on mass effect wiki and if you look up "wrex: family armor" and then look at the notes it says : "Note: If this assignment is completed before travelling to Virmire, Commander Shepard will gain Wrex's trust and can use this in lieu of Charm or Intimidate to calm him down once it is revealed that Saren Arterius has found a cure for the genophage. This will still unlock the Charismatic achievement, despite no Charm/Intimidate being needed." so i guess im right :/

  • I killed him because I could.

  • (Mass effect 1)

    Shepard: These weapons are awesome

    (Mass effect 2)

Shepard: These weapons seem less advanced...

    (Mass Effect 3)

    Shepard:Why am I using a MUSKET now???

  • @xxMasterxxBucketxx Wrong! More like this.

    (Mass Effect 1)

Shepard: These weapons suck! They overheat and have horrible aim!

    (Mass Effect 2)

Shepard: These weapons are awesome! PEW PEW!!

    (Mass Effect 3)

Shepard: When the game comes out I'll rate how good the weapons are...

  • @XboxAnnihilator in ME there are very badass weapons, as there are sucky weapons, same with ME2

  • they announced that wrex will be featured in ME 3,hopefully more than a cameo

I mean why the hell wouldn't you save wrex.... he is the best sidekick EVER!(and a cool leader)

"I will lead our clan to glory, whether he likes it or not..." that sooo bad ass

  • Wrex, you better get your sweet ass in Mass Effect 3!

  • Wrex was always my favorite. I look forward to seeing him in ME3.

  • so if u kill him here he wont appear in me2

  • Shepherd (Sentinel w/shotgun): Wrex I have one question?

    Wrex (holding pistol): What?

Shepherd: Why are we threatening each other with untrained weapons?

    Wrex: That's a good point.

  • If you can save Rex on ME1 then why is he not on ME2?

  • @rockmanx00999

If you save Wrex, he reappears as leader to his Krogan tribe in ME2 as far as I know.

  • @XXC0Y indeed

  • ye he does

  • @rockmanx00999 he is but he is grunts loyalty mission.

  • @rockmanx00999 he is. go to tuchanka you will find him there

  • @rockmanx00999 You need to import your save file in which you saved wrex to ME2

  • @rockmanx00999 Yeah if you save Wrex you go to the planet Tuchanka to help out 2 of your squad members for them to become loyal, it is there you will meet Wrex. If you do kill him however, Another Krogan takes his place. Keep Wrex alive I say. =]

  • @rockmanx00999 he is

  • @rockmanx00999

if you save him he will be on 2 and 3 i thik....

  • @rockmanx00999 In order to save Wrex you just have to have a high paragon score

  • @012rdiaz i had high renegade and he told wrex the buisness and he was cool about it

  • wrex is my favourite character so far in Mass Effect, he's to the point, brutish, but he's not just muscle. A good leader for the Krogan

  • I've not once killed Wrex, he's too awesome to die (that and my renegade/paragon skills are epicly high)

  • one thing i know will happen in ME3 is that all the characters from 2 will go, WHY well with an ending that allowed any of them to die and in any order it would be too difficult for the writers and programmers to leave them in your team I honestly think ME3 will have the same sort of intro to 2 I may be wrong but i know i wont be.

  • Can you imagine a human in wrex's position-our numbers dwindling and with no hope? He's got so much class to make the right decision.

  • @angrydead its not the same..

krogans are a threat because their still living a few ages behind us.

to put it this way. they still believe is warriors and a voilent way of regaining honor.

thats a phase ''modern humans'' have past.

if humanity would of been a serious threat to all other form of life out there. (not that i believe in any)

i wouldnt be so hasty to bring them back to a more than stable population again.

but being one of the last humans alive wont make much friends tho.

  • @DNME87

You're looking at this from a too abstract stance. The Krogan are litterally dying out, they don't care about concepts such as cultural sophistication, in a few generation that will be academic. Wrex knows how desperate the situation is and yet he still did the right thing.

Could you do the same if humans where dying out?

  • @angrydead And it's a pretty nasty way of dying out as well. Instead of just affecting Krogan fertility and making it difficult for them to conceive they make it so they can get pregnant but most of their children are born dead.

  • @PKBitchGirl Yeah you can hear the desperation and despair in some of the Krogans voices when they talk about.

  • Krogan armor goes over natural armor... they have shells and scales... they're more turtle than anything else, though they do have frog-like attributes, turtles are more close to accurate.

  • This happened to me too but I didnt know why lol

  • I don't get it, in ME2

    *possible spoilers*

Mordin said that they modified the genophage so the Krogan didn't recover, why would it take years to modify to to be less deadly?

  • @jetsiol0 modifying the genophage was way more difficult then creating it. they had limited options on how to modify it, because a tiny mistake could either render the genophage ineffective. meaning to krogan could expand again, or it could make it to strong. exterminating the krogan.

  • - Wrex.

    - Sheppard.

  • Wrex: Alright Shepard. You made your point

    Ashley: *shoots Wrex*

Shepard: WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?

Ashley: Oh... I thought he was going to kill you

    Wrex: You bitch

  • wrex is a badass, he is almost invincible when you max his fitness

  • you would think the krogan would want sarens, uhh sarens testicals (god whyed i say that)

  • WREX

  • @CANAirforce Shepard.

  • how do you train your charm?

  • @lrlrb7x By being very very polite over and over and over.

Alright no kidding: By adding EP (experience points) to it in your skills-list.

That's the same list you can power up skills for certain weopons, armor, technical or biotic abilities. "Charm" and "Intimidate" are at the bottom of the list.

  • @XXC0Y

Actually, gaining higher and higher ranks in Paragon/Renegade does increase your rank in Charm/Intimidate, so yeah, Being very polite and using persuade options can increase the rank without having to add points to Charm and Intimidate. Fair warning: not adding points means that it takes a very long time (about two or three playthroughs to max both stats out).

  • You unlock the ability to train charm further by gaining paragon points. An easy way to max out paragon or renegade points is to abuse the Lorik Quinn glitch. On Noveria, do the side quest that requires you to convince Lorik to testify in a trial. Afterward choosing either the paragon or renegade dialogue choice. Talk to him again, talk about a random subject, and ask him to testify again. Rinse and repeat until you have max paragon and/or renegade.

  • I found his family armor and I still had to do choose Charm/Intimidate option.

  • Right, there is no need to kill Wrex anyway. I spare him every time I play. I know this just a game, but I always make this choice like this.

  • When I was playing through this conversation, I was holding my breath, and I didn't notice until after he backed down.

  • Where do u go to find his family armor

  • Viva la punk, just one life, anarchy

  • I was pissed when she killed him

  • (sigh) wrex ant tali were my favorite characters in ME1 but i needed the renegade points so i shot him

  • when i had this conversation, ashley killed wrex without my command. I was so mad! I didn't even bring her racist ass on the mission in the first place. and then she goes and kills one of my squad members!!

  • @betrekwoman - if you don't mind my putting my 2 cents in, i don't think ash is all that racist. she doesn't trust aliens to be interested in humans problems, but i don't think she believes that aliens are less than humans in any way. she killed wrex to protect shepard, and she doesn't kill wrex if you have enough paragon points to choose the right dialogue option or if you got wrex's family armor.

  • @CelebBethEryniel

I disagree. Ashley has consistently be distrustful and downright rude to alien members on the team. Hell, after going through hell and returning from Ilos, Ash still failed to change her xenophobic attitude in ME2. I'm glad I let her die on Virmire even tho I play MaleShep. The world will be better without ppl like her.

  • @lilithdvs13 Suit yourself.

  • @lilithdvs13 its too bad bioware didnt include a renegade option to kill Ashley in ME2.

  • @Benjifritz93 Ashley has a good chance to come back in ME3, you might than have a decision to kill her in a "suicide mission"

  • @tomyNL aw hell no, I dont want that hag on my team again >:(

  • @Benjifritz93 Ashley! Look out!! BOOOOOOOOOOM

  • @Benjifritz93 well at least you can always "choose" *wink* *wink* to save kaiden and "let" her die

  • @Benjifritz93 Renegade?

  • I really wish people stopped using the term "racist" when they really mean "Species"... all it does is show how uneducated you are. Racist requires the two are of the same species...

  • Why are you getting so worked up? i was just making a joke about the game game. Im so sorry that I offended you by making a language error or two in the process.

  • actually my comment had less to do with you and more to do with the language error you picked up on. Many people make this mistake and it effects me very little. Similar to the common error of assuming there are 'degrees' of Celsius, like there are degrees in Fahrenheit. Celsius is itself a 'degree' and thus saying "Degrees Celsius" is redundant and wrong.

  • is "grammar nazi" a type of racist? :p

  • nope and I have nothing but love for all the uneducated people who don't know any better. I just hope that eventually people realize correct grammar only helps themselves... does nothing for me.

  • You're making an odd argument, Faith2Sparrow. The concept of Racism has no real life counterpart applying to other intelligent species because...there are none. There is no word in our language for it...not to point out your obvious lack of education (the terms "racist" and "species" are not logically interchangable as you suggested).

Arguing the concept of racism applying to alien species is...well...strange and irrelevent. Get over yourself. Invent a more logical argument next time.

  • In fact Roeland the term ''Racism'' can be applied to another inteligent species, since they all are part of a associated government like United Nations. It is logical to assume that they have a law inside so it cant be broken. In game you can see they speaking about it, whe Sheppard had a gang on earth. Take an example the Quarians. Because of the Geth, many aliens including humans, hates them for life. Like some people hate the Germanic people, just because of the nazism.

  • wrong, and I do just fine thanks for your suggestion though. Racist comes from the word Race which in this context refers to a single species. Thus for someone to be racist the victim must be of the same 'race' or 'species'. Grow a brain... or buy one; your choice.

  • so she's "specist"?

  • exactly, doesn't have the same ring to it though, I know.

  • @Faith2Sparrow tell that to the turian stuck at customs in ME2 XP

  • Moral of story: the deranged krogan merc stills loving his home world. a fine, little and small feeling of patriotism. So, even on games we have to play hero so we can grow that sacrifice's methodology for real

  • Damn, why cant the called Wrex by his name and not the "Krogan" I would find that so offensive if someone said "The Human" in real life lol

  • Yay!

  • salarians are douch bags

  • most of them, yes

  • Hellooo everybody! I have a question, am i wrong i killed wrex and keiden? I had no chooies to kill wrex, but i had chooies between ashley and kaiden, wich is the good one? sorry for my english.

  • There is no completely "wrong" or "right"decision in Mass Effect. That's what makes it wothwhile in my opinion.

If you save Kaidan or Ashley is up to you - depends on who you like more and whose skills you favour. If you need someone with a lot of fiirepower, you'll save Ash, if you enjoy using Tech- and Biotic-skills, you chose Kaindan. If you play a female Shepard and chose Ash you will not be able to end the love-story though.

  • ...unless you like Liara as Partner for you female Shepard.

  • @XXC0Y LOL LESBIANS ALERT xD lol ;P I like Lesbo's though :P

  • @XXC0Y you can also get Ashley as your partner too

  • @XXC0Y mass effct wiki said tht u can get in a love interist with ashel as girl

  • @brotherhoodoutcast22

Hm. Never tried that - maybe because I don't like Ash too much. Never heard of it either. :/

  • @XXC0Y on on mass effct wiki romance

  • @XXC0Y It's not true. It was possible at first but they decided to drop it before the game came out. Same goes for male Shepard having a romance option with Kaidan.

I dunno what wiki BHO read, but on the ME wiki it actually says it's not possible [anymore].

  • @brotherhoodoutcast22 It's not possible in the original game. You can only do it with a mod that unlocks the female dialogue tree for Ashley.

  • @brotherhoodoutcast22 It lied.

  • @brotherhoodoutcast22

It was intended initially and proven via hackers digging into the game files however it was removed from normal gameplay. I imagine the PC version has unearthed it through mods

  • Its because you need more paragon or renegade points or xp when u do it will give you a decision in red(renegade) or Blue(paragon)

  • they should just modify the genophage to slow their breeding or be less deadly so that they can avoid extinction and at the same time not overrun the universe.

  • Comment removed

  • When I did it it made me kill rex so. : (

 from your lord and savvier

  • he survived!!! yay!

  • i didnt kill wrex but that bitch ashley did

  • yee i had enuff charisma to not kill him, so now i get him in the second game

  • @vanrok your comment made me lol, LOL

  • Wrex is the greatest Mass Effect 1 character.

Bioware did something great here, they made a "savage brute race", and then, when they gave you a member of said race, they made that member a badass philosopher-warrior mix, capable of combat skills and biotic abilities. Rex is amazing.

  • What i like the most about Wrex is that he is a straight person, in the video he said himself "the right thing to do". At first, not many would expect him to have such high moral values nor even wisdom.

Krogans aren't to be underestimated in the end.

  • @GrinninGoblin Bioware did that once before in the original Neverwinter Nights. The half-orc henchman Daelin was a well-spoken, polite, honourable warrior.

But then, every single henchman in that campaign was an inversion of the stereotype, so...

  • @GrinninGoblin (W)Rex starts with a W

  • I had the paragon solution, he's leading a clan on Tuchanka in ME 2. can't imagine the planet without him. but he can't make the fun he was making in elevators in ME1.

  • @635574 thanx for he spoiler asshat

  • Can you get the armor and save him without charm or intimidate?

  • i never figured out how to not kill wrex either i shoot him or ashley does

  • You must max out renegade or paragon levels (level 10 charm or intemidate). Then you will dialoge options to convince him to stand down. All you need is 10 skill points in charm or intimidate. Either one is fine, they both end in with the same result.

  • A giant badass lizard guy with big guns?

How did I miss this game???

  • @ThundergodxRaiden Krogans are basicy ''froggs''

    Turians are lizards...

  • @DNME87

    Late to the party?

He has scales. Amphibians do not have scales. Amphibians also do not have true teeth, and what pass for teeth aren't even arranged the same way or connected to the jaws. Turians, from what I have read, are highly advanced Avians that lost their wings.

Incorrect. Also, work on your spelling, please.

  • @ThundergodxRaiden krogans are froggs related tho.

atleast in creation. not in storyline ofcourse. they dont have scales.

for the other races i dont know really. i dont see hanar as jellyfish.

and turians and salarians look lizard/salamander like to me.

even if they have scales or w/e.

    but basically, krogans are FROGGS.

even the way they say ''shepard'' is froggy.

  • @DNME87 I always thought of Krogans as turtles.

  • @310ellehC no the desiner related them to froggs.

its all in one of those making mass effect 2 video's.

krogans are frogg related in looks and speach.

and Quarians are arabic related in culture.

for anything els you just have to watch the video for yourself here on you tube.

but i still remember those 2, cause it kinda spoke for itself.

tells about drells, and stuff too.. just watch the video for yourself. its quiet interesting.

  • @DNME87 weren't the turians kind of like russian, Asari Western European, and Salarian Asian?

  • @taybar00017 asari being european like is very possible.

they have all have this european accent. and no actual culture that binds them to a specific group. thats typical european. a mix of everything. just like asari's are.

  • @DNME87 the asari are based of of meditaranian culture which is south european

  • @PossiblyAsian you mean like latino's?...

i dont see the link there.

  • @DNME87 ... people who live of the coast of the mediteranean sea...

  • @PossiblyAsian italian,spanish,croatia, all latino's...

except for the afrikan part, those are arabics.

you didnt think latino's originated from south amerika did you?

  • @DNME87 yea i know but their based on more then just latinos

  • @PossiblyAsian give me an example..

  • @DNME87 italian, greek, spanish, aka mediteranean

  • @PossiblyAsian yeah latino's...

  • @PossiblyAsian or hispanic. kind of the same.

  • @taybar00017 not really turians are romans, asari is south europe salarian i have no idea

  • @PossiblyAsian yeah Im thinking the salarians are supposed to be like Chinese or Japanese because of the technology deal, Humans are supposed to be Americans, and hell I think the Quarians are muslims lol. The rest you're probably right on

  • @taybar00017 quarians are arabic based,

    and krogans are frogg based.

thats the only fact i know.

  • @ThundergodxRaiden how indeed?

  • Wrex sounds alot like Optimus Prime..

  • Wounder what ever happend to that asari that he mentioned that he had the same contract on someone as they did

and then he had a contract on her and then she ended up surviving the lab blowing up?

  • lol 2 sec pause then rex goes ok lol

  • You didn't even tried to take him with you. He is the wisest of all charaters, not some fucking savage brut. Like you, stupid kid, probably think BEUCASE HE IS BIG AND MUSCLAAA

  • he's a character with an excellent sense of humor and an admirable worldview. where everyone else is muddled up in diplomacy and politics, Wrex sees it very simply - either you are stronger, or weaker, and the weaker one loses. Those who are prejudiced against Wrex and his kind are merely envious that they don't have life figured out yet, as he does.

  • R all you guys living in some fantasy world? Do you really think of life of a soldier as simple as what the trash Wrex says? The reason he sees things simply is because he doesnt have the brains to realise what he world/society is actually like. Also @ grailchaser, R u fuckin kidding me? I admire you for your ability to create such a 'happy story' for that 'brute creature' of yours, i really do.

Well if you guys love Wrex that much then by all means charm him, i've killed him already, too late

  • @raptor4314 LOL yes the life of a soldier is as simple as what Wrex says

  • Comment removed

  • *sorry was using wrong acount; just so you dont go WTF*

  • Hey Raptor, I am a soldier genius. An 11B (use google.) And yes the world of a soldier is pretty damn simple no matter how intelligent you may be. They tell you to do it, you do it, unless the order is explicitly illegal. Wrex may actually be MORE thoughtful than a lot of my brethren lol. When we went into OIF 1 there was no ROE. It moved after curfew you killed it and asked questions later. Pretty fuckin simple huh? As far as your buddies getting blown up it sucks but its part of the job.

  • Alright fine. Im not too thick to get the points so i accept whatever you all said. Wrex Wrex Wrex, whatever......least he can fight better than the rest.....

  • wrex isnt a soldier hes not being paid to work for shepard he was there for the fight for the honor but gettin his armor will help you keep him alive...glad i did he is my favorite character

  • "Ignorant fuck?" Oh, the irony.

You completely missed the point of that question didn't you?

He was trying to shock Kaidan into being aware of his own limitations (albiet through the medium of his own, rather Nietzschian world view). It shows a remarkable complexity of thought for a "brute creature" and demonstrates that he actually cares, to some degree, about his team mate.

  • @raptor4314 Man those fucking humans, always asking stupid questions like "What's up" to their friends... even though they know the answer already. All humans are obviously fucking dumb based on this SINGLE FACT and CONVERSATIONAL HABIT.

That's all I have to say, I hope you aren't too thick to get the point.
