  • 2300 is overkill should have went with the 1900

  • Nice, I need a 2300, my maggie 112 is huffin and puffin to do 3psi on my 6.9L....bought it when I had a 6.0 heh

  • You didnt put down 500/500 you put down 493/495 lol...

  • @Breze84 i round up

  • @denmah I know just bustin your chops... Nice Goat though... What FI cam did you go with and how safe did they say it was before you have to pin the crank and forge your block???

  • @Breze84 it has a lingenfelter cam, blower kit comes with a crank pinning tool, stock motors are extremely strong, some guys are in the 800hp range.

the block is good for over 1000hp, you just should to do pistons and rods when you want more than 800

  • @denmah the crank is good for a 1000 but the rods are not... The most you will see out of a LS1 before it goes boom boom is probably around 650whp and that is pushing it... Im building a 408 LQ9 with a STS turbo kit for my goat right now... But im still torn about if I want to do a TVS 1900 or 2300 or just keep my sts kit.

  • @Breze84 you know how it goes, ive seen 843rwhp gto's on stock motors... thats quite a bit to the crank lol

but we all know what is reliable and who makes the best numbers are different, hell even the high hp ones are even reliable sometimes.

its all a question of how hard you wanna push, and ls2's seem to really be more stout than the ls1 cousins...

my friends ls1 firebird made 515rwhp with nitrous and a 4l80e with a ford 9 inch, that is alot of drivetrain loss... and it did for years!

  • @denmah Figure a conservative 13% drivetrain loss 515rwhp would be more like 550rwhp and thats a huge difference from 843rwhp... Just from personal experience I have never seen anything more then 650whp on a stock block LS1/LS6/LS2 and thats pushing it... Usually they forge on the cheap and just do rods and pistons and call it a day...

  • what size pulleys are you running? stock crank pully? OD/1:/Underdriven rears?

  • @c6matt i know its stock crank, and then overdriven rear and a fairly large front. 3.3 or 3.2

he said he wanted 10psi and magnacharger did the rest

  • nice!

what was with the rear end? looks like it was in primer.
