Wonderful! I love the contrast in dancing styles between the classical ballet and the Broadway-style tap. Rudolf Nureyev was so talented! And the mob-style shooting at the end scene was funny, too. I'll bet he enjoyed that performance. He got to exercise so many of his talents.

It was well known that he was gay although he had relationships with women also but it is common knowledge that his most significant life partner was fellow dancer Erik Bruhn who was ten years his senior. Sadly Nureyev died of Aids which he had lived for many years in denial of and subsequently untreated.

Your indignation is disappointing as we are no longer living in the dark ages and being gay is nothing to be ashamed of or disappointed by.
