The resolution of this clip is 320x240 and ~200kb/s. Actually you can't distinguish the output of an 8800GTS from an 6400 watching this. Textures used in lower and higher cards will look same on low res. and low bitrate video clip.

Well the GTX has 128 Stream Processors while the GTS only has 96. The GTX has a 384-bit memory interface and the GTS has only a 320-bit. And the GTS has either 320mb or 640mb of GDDR3, while the GTX has 768MB of GDDR3. So overall its a better card.

Im sorry but i dont see any difference. when i first bought doom 3, i played it on my 7600 GS. All the lightning effects and the detail of the graphics and all, is as smooth as your 8800 GT card. My opinion, you wont see so much different when playing Doom 3 here.

doom 3 could be maxed out ( minus antialiasing) with a 6800 when they were released back in the day and the best versions would be throwing out frames around 60 fps in gameplay but i dunno about rezes higher than 16x12 but that rez and under even a 6800 can do it well with the proper setup with ram ( 1 gig ram and a p4 would kick this games ass)

Nice vid i also own a 8800gts with 2 and a quater gigs of ram and a amd64 X2 3800 i get 90 frams with doom3 with max settings @ 1600/1200 i use the 320mb overclocked version by BFG wich i think is a better bang for the buck the the 640.
