I think Trudy has an excellent effect on Peter. People say "Oh, I want Peggy and Peter to get together" but Trudy and Peter get on so well. When he doesn't have her, all of his good characteristics go out the window and we're just left with slimy, brown-nosing, backstabbing Peter. They are the "best" couple on the show. Besides, Trudy is lovely
Their marriage is based on a mutual ambition, which is ironically based on their own personal aspirations to make it to "upper" society... That's why Harry and his wife get so pissed; they see that they can't compete because they haven't practiced and are forced to take a supporting role... Peter's and Trudy are exhilarated but it's not the dancing.... it's the attention and approval from people they aspire to get closer to... long live Mad Men!

This would be so much better if it was Peggy dancing with him, trudy yuck! When will thier marriage ever end? I can't stand them together! Pete and Peggy forever!
@siribeate123 'Five two, eyes of blue', yes THIS renditon is beyond compare! Good luck finding who performed this version though- i've been looking for ages, for now i get my kicks from this wonderful scen ; )

priceless ! Pete can shake a tailfeather ! What makes this clip is the surreal "datedness within datedness" IE doing the Charleston in the early '60s was way out of date and nostalgic ! Odd!
LOL @ 0:48 The smug look that Pete gives to Roger Sterling, Right in the middle of his dance. Wow Good writing, Good acting, and Even better Dancing. What a great show.
Pete can be quite the little scumbag, but he is one of my favorite characters on the show and was actually quite cute in this scene. I think Vincent could go on Dancing with the Stars - this was a much better and more traditional Charleston than the routines some of the couples did the other night.
That's true about everyone else having a bad marriage true (except Harry; he and his wife seem pretty normal). I feel like Pete and Trudy's marriage has been getting better since they got married, which is more than you can say for Don and Betty, or Joan and Greg.
lol ken cosgrove. you gotta love him

Ahhh!! I love Vincent Kartheiser! Did anyone else see how bad ass he was in the movie "In Time"?
ImSoooSorryforU 3 months ago
Christ, he's so proud of himself. He can't keep his eyes off Sterling and Don, looking for their approval.
He's such a slimeball, but one of the best characters.

My favorite scene from the whole series. Also love the scene where Ken "salutes" to Joan's ass in season 1. Great show!

Props to Alison Brie's acting chops where she can go from playing such a mature character in Mad Men to an 18 year old in Community.

I love this scene. Even though their marriage is awful I kind of wanted to be them for a minute.
gorramdoll 2 years ago 44
Trudy makes it work and Pete does care for her. They aren't any worse then their peers. It's not a "everything's perfect" type of show.
On another note, can anyone confirm that the song is "Everybody Loves My Baby"?
