  • lol ken cosgrove. you gotta love him

  • killin it

  • I think Trudy has an excellent effect on Peter. People say "Oh, I want Peggy and Peter to get together" but Trudy and Peter get on so well. When he doesn't have her, all of his good characteristics go out the window and we're just left with slimy, brown-nosing, backstabbing Peter. They are the "best" couple on the show. Besides, Trudy is lovely

  • What`s the name of the song?

  • 1:18 IS JUST MAGIC

  • Terrible scene.

  • OMFG I had no idea Alison Brie was in Community, she looks so much better in Mad Men!

  • @d1jal lol what? you think annie's not hot?

  • Their marriage is based on a mutual ambition, which is ironically based on their own personal aspirations to make it to "upper" society... That's why Harry and his wife get so pissed; they see that they can't compete because they haven't practiced and are forced to take a supporting role... Peter's and Trudy are exhilarated but it's not the dancing.... it's the attention and approval from people they aspire to get closer to... long live Mad Men!

  • Ahhh!! I love Vincent Kartheiser! Did anyone else see how bad ass he was in the movie "In Time"?

  • Christ, he's so proud of himself. He can't keep his eyes off Sterling and Don, looking for their approval.

He's such a slimeball, but one of the best characters.

  • These people are just made of swag

  • Pete is amusing

  • Am I the only one who find this incredibly sexy?

  • For some reason I couldn't stop laughing during this scene

  • For me, this is the best screen dance since Pulp Fiction. A complete joy.

  • @philwoodford I completely agree!

  • love the dancing - hate the hat

  • Best. Show. Ever.

  • My favorite scene from the whole series. Also love the scene where Ken "salutes" to Joan's ass in season 1. Great show!

  • I wish I had someone I could dance like this with!

  • Pete's little head shake at 0:45 :D LOVE IT

  • Props to Alison Brie's acting chops where she can go from playing such a mature character in Mad Men to an 18 year old in Community.

  • does anyone know the name of this song?

  • @siribeate123 'Five two, eyes of blue', yes THIS renditon is beyond compare! Good luck finding who performed this version though- i've been looking for ages, for now i get my kicks from this wonderful scen ; )

  • @Jagermeister196

    Charleston - Paul Reeves

  • @siribeate123

"Charleston" by Paul Reeves from his album, Quirky Vintage

  • Trudy is so lucky in this scene!

  • Vincent Kartheiser is a good dancer.

  • the song is called 'The Charleston' and was composed especially for Mad Men by Paul Reeves. iTunes now!

  • 1:23 Harry got to know

  • this is the only clip on youtube that has decent volume too

  • this was the first or second episode i saw of this show and i downloaded the 1st and 2nd seasons right after

  • this scene was so random.. it was like, WOAH where did that come from? lol, lots of fun though

  • I almost like Pete after that! :)

  • What's this song called?

  • priceless ! Pete can shake a tailfeather ! What makes this clip is the surreal "datedness within datedness" IE doing the Charleston in the early '60s was way out of date and nostalgic ! Odd!

  • I think we make a fine group here, the ones that came to see and comment on this wonderful video :)

  • one of the gems of this wonderful series!

  • Pete Cambell is murder on the dancefloor! haha. love is facial expression.

  • LOL @ Don's face on 0:30-0:35 He looks so weirded out. Ha!

  • this show is phenomenal

  • LOL @ 0:48 The smug look that Pete gives to Roger Sterling, Right in the middle of his dance. Wow Good writing, Good acting, and Even better Dancing. What a great show.

  • Pete can be quite the little scumbag, but he is one of my favorite characters on the show and was actually quite cute in this scene. I think Vincent could go on Dancing with the Stars - this was a much better and more traditional Charleston than the routines some of the couples did the other night.

  • I love this scene. Even though their marriage is awful I kind of wanted to be them for a minute.

  • Trudy makes it work and Pete does care for her. They aren't any worse then their peers. It's not a "everything's perfect" type of show.

On another note, can anyone confirm that the song is "Everybody Loves My Baby"?

  • That's true about everyone else having a bad marriage true (except Harry; he and his wife seem pretty normal). I feel like Pete and Trudy's marriage has been getting better since they got married, which is more than you can say for Don and Betty, or Joan and Greg.

I don't know the song, sorry.

  • True that gotta love Pete, or at least love to hate him

  • @gorramdoll you know this is a TV show., right???

  • @stoni90 unfortunately :)

  • @gorramdoll it's a better marriage than any of the others shown- greg & joan, jane & roger, henry & betty, and of course betty & don

  • This scene was one of the highlights of that episode! The charleston ftw. :)

  • Pete Campbell sure can dance.
