I also saw this sound bar at K mart for $119.00. Is this the same quality as the one that Panasonic sells for $179.00? Or is the K Mart version a cheaper model ?
However, my Wii has no way of being connected to those speakers (I'm using the component cable, so the red and white cables can't reach) unless I buy an extension cable online. But now I've discovered this, and I think it will be easier, because then I can just connect everything to it via digital optical audio cable. But does that cable support analog audio too? Because that's what Wii uses. And if not, does this speaker bar have red/white audio inputs on the back?
@Ninjadude973 If there is an Optical cable for the Wii, then yes it will work. No there are no Composite on the back of this bar (red/white). If your television supports passthrough (look for an optical out on the back of it), you could simply plug the wii's composite into your television, then run an optical from the TV to the soundbar.
You see, my Panasonic TC -L32U22 Does not produce satisfying sound. The bass make a terrible, buzzing, rumbling noise, forcing me to either turn down the bass at higher volumes, or turn it up at low volumes, or just turn surround off, because it amplifies it. I watch blu ray on my DMP BD65, but it's connected to speakers [through the red and white cables though :( ] so I don't have to worry about that.
Can you please demonstrate it with Wii? That's the whole reason I watched this vid; I've been looking for a way to connect my Wii to external speakers. I'm using the component cable, so I can't extend the audio cables to the speakers I already have. Also does Wii work with an optical audio cable? I have one, but my speaker system doesn't support it. So I'm either forced to turn my tv's bass all the way down and turn up the volume, Or turn up the bass and turn down the volume. Please help!
@Ninjadude973 Not much to demonstrate. I have the wii connected to the tv, the tv passes through the wii's audio via the optical cable, and the sound bar plays the audio.
@Ninjadude973 Again I have Wii hooked to the TV tv hooked to the soundbar. The wii sends the audio to the tv, the tv sends the audio to the soundbar. I think there is a 3rd Party USB to optical cable that you could use between the wii and the soundbar.
I need help!!! I have that sound bar and it works perfect with my PS3 using hdmi to soundbar to tv. but optical audio doesn't work from tv to soundbar, I tried it using optical from ps3 and works. Do I have to do something else with the tv or something so it can send the audio by optical. I have a wii too but same problem. it is my tv? 32" sharp aquos.
@orlandocolom Make sure the optical on your tv is in fact and optical OUT. And there may be a setting that you have to configure to use the optical out. Both my tvs are samsungs and automatically use it.
@x3coffeeluv Yeah it was shot with a RCA Smallwonder I bought for 59$, just to see what a pocket cam was like. Any new video will be shot in 1080p with my new Kodak Zi8
nice review, very detailed.

@marcbo1962 As long as the model number is the same as the panasonic website, you'll be fine.

@matthewcrabbe So Wii DOES work with the digital optical audio cable. Ok thanx, I might consider getting these :)

@matthewcrabbe Are you using component or composite cables to connect your Wii to your TV?
Ninjadude973 6 months ago
@Ninjadude973 Component. But it doesn't matter, both composite and component use the same type of audio.

@matthewcrabbe OK thanx again
