this song is from the movie soundtrack "My Blueberry Nights" by Wong Kar Wai. the movie Xiu Xiu doesn't have this song as far as I can remember and I just watched this movie less than two weeks ago
The movie was simply amazing and brilliant and joan chen should be astonishingly proud to have made it!!! That said, people we need to get NETFLIX to carry this movie!!! They don't. People use NF (Neflix) EVERYWHERE in the US. It should be featured, that such a great film isn't at NF, THE outlet, is...a CRIME!
This is probably my favorite film ever... Joan Chen's quiet masterpiece will break your heart into a million pieces... and only love will heal you again... Thank you for posting this.
@gladpeppe21 Yes, this film was banned however, China Governments approved the script of this film, but this was only banned for a short while because the filmmakers did not wait for permission from the government to film the movie because this movie needs somekind of permission because of its sexual contents
this movie made me sad and angry at the same time. it's sad what happened to her and how much that guy loved her and couldn't do anything to help her. she was an innocent that was destroyed by lust (and lecherous old men).
oh and just wanted to say that that actress that grew up to be pretty. kind of looks like zhou xun but not exactly.
I only read a few reviews of this movie. They all agree with Top Jimmy; it's a sad movie that shows how nasty those communist leaders were. And continue to be for that matter.
I just watched a 5 episode documentary made by the BBC in 2007. It's called Chiense School and it follows students at 3 schools in the town of Xiuning in Anhui Province.
this film was really sad, showed the ugly truth of probably what was happening within communist China during the Cultural Revolution. Corrupted Party members taking advantage of the innocent populace and living like demogagues.
Unfortuntately, prositution and corruption is becoming even worse in China today.
This movie said a lot with just a few words - it affected me. Two friends, one 53, the other maybe close to 60, both from China and female, told me of their fathers' concerns about the possibility of this happening. I need to watch this movie again soon.
ya, u should upload this movie. It is really a sad one. The main character portrayed in this movie is just one of the many poor victims under the Cultural Revolution.
wow you should upload this movie...this movie is the movie that was baned in china ...i mean chinese to see by their govrnment, its a story about a chinese girl and a tibetan and ccp.

Excellent and horribly tragic film. I'm glad E-Drama decided to show this movie late one night when I couldn't sleep.
