I once heard in Sunday Service a long long time ago, when you're blessed with an anointing, it will never leave you no matter what happens in your life. You may stray away from the Lord and do sin but that Spirit is and always will be in you. You just have to know how to go to it, no matter what anyone says. This song touches that "nerve" that is anointed and heaven sent. When you hear this that way its suppose to be heard, you don't feel it like others may. Something deep down wakes UP! Amen!
Satchmo and Miles took the horn. Ella 'Retha Mahalia and Leontyne took the vocals, Hendrix took the guitar. Coltrain and Maceo had them Saxes, Stevie and Ray and Nina took the piana. Larry Graham took the bass. James Cleveland took the choir. Billy Cobbam took the drums. Billy Preston took the organ. Stevie took the harmonica. The Wards took the backups. Public Enemy took the raps. Sly did the arrangements. Quincy produced. Michael danced with JB. Bob Marley wrote the lyrics.
my mother use to play this song all the time. one of my all time favorites. nobody and i mean nobody does it like james cleveland. their is no gospel singer on this level in this generation of men singers for gospel. this is my opinion.

Songs like these are what have made my generation appreciate God's goodness and FAVOR! When times get rough, be still, your break-through is coming.
