    Both economies also seem to sync with the prices of natural resources, further making the case for the CAD.

  • I'm interested to hear how using the Canadian dollar would affect Iceland's competitiveness and exports to Europe.

    Seems like the CAD could be a cheaper, stable option that promotes Icelandic exports to Europe.

    Furthermore, the Bank of Canada is among one of the most conservative and tightly run central banks in the world. We follow a strict policy of 3% inflation, unlike the US Federal Reserve which balances inflation with unemployment.

    Plus CAD dollars are nicer looking than the Euro :)
