Hi fjlj! I really like your videos and this one too
I agree that .NET Programs are easy to disassemble, but it's really difficult when you use a good obfuscator like RedGate Smart Assembly. It's from the same company as Reflector. Smart Assembly obfuscate not only the code, but also encodes strings and puts weird things in the code so even reflector can't do it normaly. Of course when you spend very much time, you can find the algo, but see what you get when you import reflector. weird chars :S
Can you help me find a trainer. I have a trainer that if i push for example F1 gives me god mode. I want to know how to find out which memory pointer and with what data it altered the memory to give me god mode? can you make a tutorial please?
Reflector - it was a great product UNTIL Redgate are now charging for it. Redgate is going to be a whopping $35 starting end of February 2011. Head over to the RedGate channel and tell them that this wrong. Tell them that this a great injustice to the .Net community. Java has free decompilers, why not .Net.
PS. The same company destroyed the free community version of SQLPrompt too.
@nolifel33t actually fake_desk is my real desk. the reason i did that is because installers default icons into the Desktop folder. so by making one named fake_desk and setting it to your active the installers wont clutter it up with the damn icons for everything in the world even though you told it not to give you a desktop icon :)
Nice Tutorial.. I have a .net software which has a trail period of 30 days. I am even ready to pay to buy the software but after purchase it can be installed on only one computer. It reads the hardware print of the machine.
Can u help me out in this...I tried reflector but couldn't do much.
I like it....Nice tutorial
I am writing a program to decompile dotNet assembly and allows us to edit as we like and recompile it back to the executable stage.
I will share you all.....

How would you go about doing the same reverse engineering on a java jar file.

There are some pretty advanced obfuscators that'll make it impossible to use Reflector at all.
However, afaik, OllyDbg 2 can open .NET assemblies.
