PEACOCK sounds about the closest, but they do alot of gene manipulation and can make a fish look any way they choose, may be a hybrid ? anyways its cool looking.
It could be due to bruising. Bass during pre-spawn will bump up against objects when picking a mate for the spawn. Homer Circle has a great underwater study of the Large Mouth Bass that shows this very thing, which at that time very little was known about. Give it a look, if you are lucky enough to find it.
Looked healthy to me, just some mutation of pigment I think. Pretty awesome, I never saw a bass like that. Perch have somewhat similar markings, but not as profound. Cool!
Sweet! I like that you go fishing almost every day! I caught a 5 lb bass today using the Bite Lite lure from Ngcsports. It's amazing and works great!! Have you ever heard of it?

it can be various things too though john there are many theories but i know that it can be passed on if its the correct strain of gene etc... liek a birth mark although i have heard numerous times about a possible parasite and even a infection but thats a cool bass shoulda got her lol

The markings were a result of an increased
number of pigment cells in the skin and occurred on various body surfaces. Bass
collected by biologists using electro-shocking equipment were more likely to
have these blotches (
