  • can you use this in a pump shotgun

  • i like the 9 mm or the .223. kill anything, won't tear up small animals. cheap ammo. accurate.

  • What about drilling a hole in the stock or forend (lengthways) and keep the extractor rod in there held by a swingcover so its always with the weapon ??

  • @flamesfromblazer

Oooops !! - sorry guys I hadnt seen some of the other vids when I wrote that

hey ,great minds think alike , right. . ??

  • where did you buy the 12 gauge?

  • can i suggest if you could make that thing into a fire-piston as well? since i've seen that you're all about the versatility and multi-purpose use of equipment from these videos :D

  • I think I'll go for the Judge by taurus as well as the Judge by rossi

The combo would be 1100 but you can shoot .45 colt and 410 from both.

  • @MrEhud77 did you buy the judge is so how do you like it

  • @C0DY1921 I havent bought one yet, I'm still trying to decide which one I want lol.. They'll be coming out with a .44 mag later this year and I'm hoping that they beef up the orignial so that it can fire a .454 casull as well as the .45 and .410

  • Is that the Heritage Rough Rider?

  • Dave, can those guys make an insert that would hold a primer? That seems like it would last longer than a brass shell for the muzzel loading option you came up with.

  • @TNVarmint45 your state Don't allow rifled slugs?

  • Set to survive shot placement is important but do it running, scared, cold, hungry, or hurt. That is the real problem. Sure you could kill a bear with a .22 but not reliably. I have seen lots of people soak up .22 rounds that were ultimately fatal an hour later. I would imagine that would hold true with mos large game.

  • @ferdonandebull Agreed!! Since I’ve been in the Military, I’ve seen human emotion related problems turn marksmen into a Helen Keller with a carbine. Until you’re in a real world survival situation, YOU CAN NOT PREDICT HOW YOU WILL INDIVIDUALLY RESPOND!

  • very cool!!

  • I have to disagree Dave. You said that a .22 lr cant kill everything that a 12ga can, being that I've heard people refer to your hunting skills as "sniper like" you should very well know that its all about placement. I've dropped a buck with a .22lr placed in the softspot behind the ear, direct to the brain, the .22 topples end over end so it blends it into a nice "puree" of mush and the deer drops. And if you're good enough a shot through the eye would be a game ender as well.

  • now we all have our own opinions, but keep in mind dave is an ex us army sniper,he knows his guns and how to use them

  • NOW.... after all I said below about liking my .22's for most of what I would be needing or wanting to do, I will say that if I was only allowed to have one gun for hunting, self defense and survival......I'm with Dave 100% on the shotgun, it will almost cover all bases if need be and will stop most animals and all criminals in their tracks within it's practical range with the correct ammo, I plan to get 9mm adapter as well since it is the most popular pistol caliber by far.

  • Another thing the .22LR will do is knock a bird out of a tree at 50-100 yds when the shot gun wont reach that distance effectively and in the case someone wants to keep a lower profile and not let everyone in three counties know you're there a .22 is much quiter, CCI CB Longs will kill a rabbit @ 50 yds and has less reort than some air rifles, as much as I love my shotguns I have to say that for me the small game hunts would be done with one of my .22's

  • I like the 12 gauge single or 20 gauge single, but like it has been said, the .22LR is not only capable of killing almost anything the shot gun will kill, but it will allow you to take longer shots and in most case give you the ability to make multiple shots much quicker than one can with a single shot shotgun, living in central Texas or any other more open landscape the .22 is gonna serve one better in almost all areas from my experience, and like Dave said thick woods is another story.

  • Purchased chamber adapters .22LR & .357 Mag. for my old Revelation/Stevens 12 gauge, @ $17-$18 to door free shipping, .22LR adapt. OK @ 15-20 yds the .357Mag with my reloads is most accurate @ 20-25yds, my .22 adapt. shoots sub sonic ammo more accurately than the high vel. ammo in my tests so far, I'll try Aquila Super max. 1750fps ammo next, it's 120 FPS faster than the CCI Stingers, I'll also try SSI 60gr sniper 900fps .22LR & report results asap, longer heavier bullet may work better, Shrug?

  • A well placed shot with a 22LR will take down large game such as deer, many types of upland game birds and water foul. As far as domestic animals that you are butchering, a 22LR will kill full grown cattle.

  • @mtcowhand17 it will kill them no problem, my grandpa grew up pour and he had to use a 22 to take deer to feed his siblings, but now in my state it is illegal, you have to use archery, muzzleoader,or centerfire during regulated season

  • @TNVarmint45 Do not quote me on this but, I believe there are no caliber restrictions in Montana. On the other hand, in a survival situation, you use what you have no matter where you are.

  • @mtcowhand17 hmmm maybe that sounds like it could be a good idea, but i live in tennessee and the only rifles we can use for deer are any centerfire rifles, but yeah in a situation like that u gotta do what u gotta do

  • does anyone know where to buy these adapters???.. i just got an H&R single shot 12 guage and i love it, i think i would really like to get a couple of these for it, if anyone wants to see my gun subscribe to my chanel or check out my videos, i have uploaded many on it!

  • Great video. You've sold me on this adaptor and I'll be ordering some later.

  • dave, what website did you purchase the adapter.im very interested,i have an old stevens 12ga single shot.would love to shoot 22 rounds, for versatility.any help would be greatly apreciated.a big thanks ...

  • oops made of brass and 8 inches long

  • It is a shame that they are not made of brass not about 8 inches long, designed to slide down into the barrel.

  • @flamedrag18 I agree. Cheap when new and you may get a great price on a used set. I have Rossi's earlier version 3-barrel combo set, with a .243 barrel also. I keep a Savage 4-10er insert to shoot.410 in the 20 ga. That combo handles .243, all .22 rimfire loads, various 20 ga.loads even slugs or sabots, plus .410 shotshells. Great versatile set-up for a camp BUT with ammo it's too heavy to carry all day. Best for carry is 20ga.plus 22 bbl., OR the .20 ga with these 22 or maybe even .357 inserts

  • ever consider a Rossi matched pair .22LR/20 gauge? two barrels and two cartridge choices. you're not carrying another gun, just another barrel. this set goes for around $125-$150 new and 20 gauge is reloadable like any other shotshell like you showed earlier in the series. you can even get 20 gauge brass shells for extended life. I personally like the Rossi for it's easier disassembly since all it takes is to unscrew the front sling loop screw and just take apart.

    opinions?

  • this long hunter series has inspired me to buy a single shot 12 gauge i bought a H&R 12 gauge pardner single shot with modified choke

  • Dave how about drilling a hole in your buttstock and inserting your extraction rod, then covering it with a cap/plug/or piece of brass. then you always have the rod with the gun!

  • Can the adapter be used as a black powder reloadable cartridge of a sort? for example a 9mm shell reloaded with a new primer then inserted into the adapter and loaded with black powder and a projectile?

  • Pretty neat idea.. I wish they gave it a longer barrel, though. You have less than a 3" barrel since some of that is chambering the .22 round.

  • I see some giving Dave flack for his gun choice for the longhunter series, but keeping with the common man gear, the H&R type single shot was the right choice. The old Savage Over Under .22 and 12ga would be great also but it is no longer made. I would love to see H&R offer a 2 barrel kit with a 12ga and a .22, Put a set of ajustable sights on a 16" .22 and a 24" modified choke 12ga. Would be cool to see the old H&R Huntsman telescoping cleaning/ram rod under the 12ga.

  • @homeinthewhiteoaks Rossi offers a .22LR/20 gauge matched pair, one gun, two barrels. it's only $125-$150 and is practically identical to the H&R in looks and function.

  • Comment removed

  • will the insert fit in the stock like you showed in one of your video that was about mods for the single shot shotgun and the "last shot"?

  • Ordered one for my 12 gauge and my 410 for the 22LR. This will be a good investment.

  • Do thy make one in 22.mag.

  • Is that a heritage revolver?

  • Is the 12Ga to .22LR insert rifled ?

  • Interesting device. Velocity is going to be a factor, but you've still got the long sight radius for accuracy. For discharching the round, anything 2in or longer would suffice, even a stick or twig, the insert is short enough so that cleaning it of debris would be no problem. Thanks Dave.

  • I love ya Dave, but that kind of MOA for a .22LR.? What about an over under 410./.22LR.

  • Excellent. Do they make a longer adapter so that the barrel is longer to give more speed to the bullet?

  • When using a .22 sub-caliber device, stingers are the last thing that you would want to shoot !. Stingers get their hyper velocity from the slower burning powder used in the cartridge, which doesn't fully burn in such a short barrel. Stick to the standard velocity stuff. To increase your accuracy, it would be a good idea to put a witness mark on the adapter and the barrel so that you will line it up in the same place each shot. You can actually rotate it around until you find the sweet spot !

  • @unknwnshooter The idea of rotating the 22RF insert to see if there is a 'sweet spot' is pretty sound. Personally I would start with the offset at 6 oclock and 12 oclock for obvious reasons then try 3 oclock and 9 oclock. Maybe fire ten shots at each position and pick the smallest group, then place the offset there again , witness mark it and fire ten more to be sure. One box of 22's will tell the story.

  • @Rivieratime I have one that I had made for my .410, only difference is that this one is 6 inches long and that is exactly what i did !.

  • @unknwnshooter That Sounds good to me ! ~

I would still prefer a good quality 12-inch RIFLED and properly-chambered insert in .357 mag or .22 if I could get a good one made for about $65. Either for my 12ga. or 20 ga.

I don't think that a .357 insert would work very well in less than 20 ga. because the inserts walls will get a bit thin below that , but a .22 or 22wmr down to .410 sure seems okay.

  • @Rivieratime The adapter I had made is rifled, I kept the length down to 6" so that it would fit better in my possibles bag. A .357 mag adapter would work well in a .410, look at the thickness of the cylinder walls in a .357 revolver, pretty thin comparatively speaking.

  • @unknwnshooter Your adapter sounds great :-) Good pistol-level accuracy at 6" and rifled . My NO .357 in a .410 comment is based on fast math not my experiences.410 chambers are .465" ID, the .357 case is .379 OD .465 less.379= 0.086" diff. Divide by 2 = 3.4/100ths thickness. Beyond a chamber its .410 bore less .357 = 0.053. Div by 2= only 2.65/100th.Fairly thin

Even supported by a shotgun, a .357 load may stress that insert. Just MY opinion--I won't go any bigger than about .32 Mag in a .410

  • @unknwnshooter

By the way, please feel free to email me privately if you want to discuss this more, (so we don't burden Dave's video). I would really enjoy hearing more about how you had your great adapter made., how much it cost, any drawbacks or pluses you experienced etc etc. Best regards

  • I beg to differ Dave !.With proper shot placement a .22 long rifle will cleanly take any game animal that you may encounter up to and including Elk !. When I was a teen, I killed rabbit, squirrel, dove, duck, quail, raccoon, turkey, hogs, turtles, alligators and deer with a .22 rifle. I can carry 10 to 15 rounds of .22 for every 12 gauge shell that you carry, not to mention the weight difference of the weapons. In a survival situation I will take a .22 everytime, you can keep your 12 gauge !.

  • MCA Sports/Ace Bullet Company in Alaska do sub caliber inserts for 12g shotguns but you can get them rifled in 2 3/4, 10 & 18 inch lengths. They do a 45lc/410, 22lr, 30-30, 7.62x39 as well as other calibers. They are rifled so you will get better accuracy giving your single shot 12 the potential to reach out accurately to longer ranges. They can be found at wwwDOTmcaceDOTcom

  • @wildernesseducation A good source for adapters and inserts for many years. My opinion though,is their $100 total cost for a 10 inch rifled insert or $160 for an 18 inch, eliminates them as an 'inexpensive' choice' in line with the 'maximum versatility at a reasonable cost, for the common man' philosophy Dave emphasizes here. Cost makes buying the cheaper adapters more logical. I would surely buy a 12" rifled insert at $65 though, if available. At $100+ you can buy a pistol to go with the12ga.

  • @Rivieratime or you could simply buy a Rossi Matched Pair .22LR/20 gauge for $150 or less. I think $150 is common man pricing and that's brand new. the 20 gauge is a good shell for hunting everything a 12 gauge can, you just need to get a little closer and that should be no problem. a 20 gauge slug will take anything up to moose(I've done it with ease) and the shotshells will perform similarly to a 12 gauge.

  • Outstanding!

  • Is this the first time you tested this adapter?

  • do you think you might be able to just blow the cartridge out, instead of using that rod?

  • Dave i am gonna have to agree on your choice, The 12 ga single shot is one of the cheapest, easist trained weapons there is. Also I just looked on ebay, they have the complete kit for less than a 100 bucks, now you talking about leverging your arsenal. thanks again for you vidoes and getting people thinking

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome! Will be getting one of these soon for sure. And im pretty sure that even if one lost the steel rod to eject the spent cartridge, you could easily find a stick or widdle one down enough to make do. If you like this checkout the 32.caliber (hammond game getter) insert made for the mosin nagant.

  • Thanks for the link Dave..

  • I can buy 100 2 3/4 inch shotshells for a 12 gauge for $22.00 and 550 .22 rimfire rounds for $20.00.

Throw in a 15 round box of deer slugs for $10.00 and you have 665 shells that can be shot from the same gun.

You could use the slugs for deer or possibly elk, depending on where you are, the shotshells for ducks or geese and the .22 bullets for squirrel and rabbit and other small game. That could keep you alive for a hell of a long time.

  • Thanks for reviewing this fantastic adapter, Dave. That really adds a lot of versatility to one of your most important tools. I love the idea of having a few adapters for multiple calibers and only needing one firearm. I agree that my first choice would be 22 LR, and then the 410/45 Colt.

  • .22 u need accuracy a shotgun is much more forgiving, i love both!

  • Did you try on of the nails you cooked the squirl on to eject the 22 case, then you wouldn't have to carry that rod, I would carry the same but pistols ain't to popular up here in Canada I would carry the the shootgun with some bird shot and some slugs for long distance shots.

  • And, BTW ... I think (my opinion) that you had it right the first time, using the .22LR/.410 Scout/Survival rig ... A .41 caliber slug, propelled from a 3" shell, is nothing to sneeze at. I know I ain't gonna talk you outta that 12GA, at THIS point, but you might as well be carrying a car-battery, really (and I know you have done that before LoL). Personally ? ... Ethical or not, my AR7 wlll shoot subsonics and is every bit as effective as a bow ... 2.5 pounds !! 500 rounds !

  • @phrankus2009 I love my M6 Scout's I have 2 but they arte far from a common man gun as the price of them is out of control. Last one I saw was 500.00. Ouch!

  • @wildernessoutfitters Just bought a (New-In-The-box) AR-7 made by Henry Repeating Rifle for $195. 1 MOA at 50 yards with factory open sights. Squirrel stew all day long!

  • Dave,

Brother Thank you very much. Been looking for those adapter for a long time. Thank you again.

  • Would most likely be even more accurate IF you take a punch and create an index mark BOTH on the rim of the insert AND on the face of your chamber ... Line up the index marks exactly the same, every shot, and you will group more tightly. And, while it surely is not primitive or traditional, you might also carry a clip-on laser sight, that clamps onto your bore and provides adjustment for windage and elevation. The advantage would be the very light weight, small size, and easy install.

  • u could get an over/under and shoot both at the same time

  • Dave how versatile is the modified choke compared to a full choke 12 gauge?

  • @mustangdriven2ex MUCH MORE! Full Chokes you have to be carefull when reloading for slug diameter loads.

  • you can get one for around 60 bucks if you watch your pawn shops.

  • Hey dave been a fan for a while, just wondering what some keywords i could type into google to find a situation you have here. I would like to set up a base camp in the woods and live there for a week in my tent, but i havent been able to find anything like this, i live in illinois if that helps

  • where can i buy this device at? I'm going to get one.

  • This is nice especially if one is carrying a double-barreled shotgun. One could have a .22 in one chamber and a 12 gauge in the other.

  • Excellent.

  • Cool deal. Like you said, it’s an option if you want to carry both types of ammo. I think the 410 option would be cool too, large and small shotgun.

  • Did I hear that right at the end of the film Dave said that gun is only $ 120 that seams very cheap for a lot of killing power. From an idiot about guns in the UK.

  • @38MarcW You can get a single shot 12 gauge for under $90.00 used no problem. I've seen them even cheaper than that actually, on Gunbroker.

  • @Myst3rium You can get the exact H&R 12ga. that Dave is using from Walmart for $117.00.

  • hey dave is your shot gun full choke or just a straight barrel. whats the model

  • I don't know if I like that mod. It doesn't seem very accurate. While versatility is important, wasting ammunition, or potentially wounding the animal and having it get away also seem equally importantant in a self reliant situation where resupply may be difficult. Just my thought. Overall though, I really like your vids.

  • Dave that may be the best tip of all time .i can't wait to show that to my older friends that do not look at utube thanks .keep having fun p.s. i have had good luck with my new air rifle

  • Is that hard on the gun at all? There priced really good and free shipping, think i might pick a couple up.

  • Dave, are you going to keep, this adapter and rod in your stock?

  • I wouldnt think the accuracy would be good since the barrel is so wide, and there is no rifling. Probalby would wobble in the air......

  • Dave, do you know of any 12 gauge over 22 LR combo guns? I have been looking online and have yet to find one. Thanks and keep up the great work.

  • I AGREE. One of my favorite topics. For versatility I have always owned some rifle/shotgun combos and multi-caliber adapters. Barney3374 demonstrates various adapters here on YOUTUBE. If properly made a 22 insert's bore will be parallel to the shotgun bore's center-line but offset about 1/8 inch.A Centerfire insert's bore will be concentric with a shotgun's bore. Because a shotgun's longer barrel gives a better sighting radius than a pistol, you can get comparable short-distance accuracy.

  • It seems to me, especially with a large caliber like a .44 or a 45 colt, you would run a higher risk of damaging your firearm...once that bullet leaves the adapter, it is basically just free-floating down a tube. Have a bad day or a flinch, and it seems that an accident could be imminent, perhapsending with a bulged barrel or worse.

  • @watchthisonemore Are You Kidding Me?That Bullet Leaves The Barrel At A Over 1,125 FPS There Is NO WAY You Can Even Flinch That Fast,And Even If You Were Spinning Around With The Gun As You Pulled The Trigger YOU CAN'T Move Fast Enough To Get The Bullet To Touch The Inside Of That Barrell, No Matter What!

  • @watchthisonemore Not likely, it exits way too fast.

Even if it was possible the effect of a round-nose lead 200 grain .45 slug touching the bore should certainly be no worse than having a full one-ounce lead 12 ga. pumpkin-ball under full pressure going down your shotgun's barrel in full contact, at almost the same speed as the pistol bullet's lead would. And shotguns are designed to handle that kind of use.

  • @Rivieratime To each his own...I'm not going to disagree with anybody who wants to try it. It's just something that makes me uncomfortable....especially if it was a firearm I had to depend on. Everybody should know that a basic rule of firearm safety is to make sure you are using the correct ammunition, and basically this is violating that rule. I appreciate what Dave is doing here, and I do not doubt he knows what he is doing. I am enjoying this series of vids quite a lot.

  • If you got the 12g to 410 insert shouldn't you also be able to shoot 45LC and 45ACP as well?

  • Comment removed

  • @Rivieratime From what I can tell on the website it says you can fire 410 and 45LC. The 45LC and 45ACP both have a jacketed bullet diameter of .452in (jacketed). I don't know, Just something I was looking at because I know you can get 410/45 revolvers and shotguns.

  • @revisualize HI, I just sent you a private email. There are many adapters made by various companies. Dave just showed us a few here. Units made for .45 LC can usually shoot .410 shells. That's not true in reverse for all .410 adapters. Some are designed only for 410 shotgun shells or slugs, but cannot shoot .45 LC .You are correct to be sure you inquire about getting the right type based on your needs.

They make adapters for 12 or 20ga to .357 MAG which also shoot 3 or 4 .38 rimmed cartridges

  • Comment removed

  • Additionally a small piece of char cloth held near the gap between the cylinder and the barrel or even replacing the bullet can be used to start a fire when the gun is fired.

  • I don't want this to seem like a flame. It is not my intention. But that insert is nothing more than a short barreled derringer with a longer sight radius. That (Ruger Single 6?) pistol would be more effective over 50 yards than your convertible shotgun with the .22 adapter. And it does not require that is be disassembled to be reloaded. The pistol cal also be used as a hammer or a club.

  • That's one dead water bottle.

  • looks like there is a lot of variables in terms of how consistently the insert can be aligned, perhaps you should center it and make indexing marks on the shotgun and insert so that you can align it perfectly every time

  • I'd go and get sights like my H&R Tracker I (Smoothbore slug shooter), It has sights that can help you shoot those sub caliber inserts better by giving you a better reference than the bead sight. One can still get a smoothbore H&R and have gunsmith mount some sights, and thus making the whole system work even better.

  • thats pretty cool

  • Good piece of kit Dave, thanks.

    - Adam

  • thats neater than bubble gum i will be buying some in the future. they have a great web site also. merry CHRISTMAS DAVE

  • Dave what's the site for this insert, did'nt see it in the video

  • dave the little .22 has taken game as big as elephant

  • Hmm; seems like that they would have added a graduated, longer barrel on that thing for added accuracy, but I suppose they wanted it to work in more than just single shot guns.

  • Dave....Can they make a 3 1/2 ? Thanks...

  • Drill deeper holes in the stock to hold the insert and rod :D and few 22.s

  • Thanks for the info. That is really cool. I am gonna have to get a few.

  • May be that company should make a longer insert.

  • Heya Dave, is that 3 inch insert rifled?

  • I had no idea you could get an insert that cheap. Thanks Dave, I'll probably get one of each for my H&R 12ga single shot.

  • dave i have that gun but its chammbered in 45/70 but u can have anycaliber barrel ordered for it im gonna send it off and get a 12 gauge barrel ordered for it as well as a .22 barrel the 12 gauge barrel is around 120 bucks and a .22 barrel is even less so that gun is extremley affordable for the common man and once i get the barrels back i will have a one gun option that i can use for anything on the planet including danergous game

  • Dave,

The inserts are available on amazon for 19.99

  • NEF Pardner 12ga Single Shot $117 at walmart

  • dave you can drill a small hole in the rod then put it on your neck knife.

  • does the projectile ever touch the barrel?

  • its just a shoulder fired zipgun

  • thumbs up

  • I too would like to know you thoughts on the side by side 12 gauge?

    Keep up the great work!

  • @beatle1bailey its just like a single shot accept it has another barrel...

  • Dave, I'm lovin' the long hunter and yurt series. Better than any crap on TV (except Dual Survival, of course).

  • thanks Dave!!

  • They should make the .22 adapter with a 5 round capacity like a revolver pattern. More rounds down range = greater chance of hitting a target.

  • Hey Dave what are your thoughts on using a 12ga side by side? You would be able to go hunting with one 12ga 00 buck in one barrel and have the 22lr in the other and all you had to do is switch the lever for the type of game you come across.

    just my 2 cents

  • wow thats crazy! never knew they made such an insert. Where can I find an insert for my .22 to convert it into a 12 gauge? Now that would be handy. Lol Jk Great video and keep up the great work!

  • thats pretty cool, great find man

  • im surprised they dont make a longer version??

  • @Sktrtrsh

Check out a few of Dave's older videos

On the 21st century long hunter

And you will see just how many different way

And types of ammo he has used in that 12G

  • Dave, is there a concern on the smaller caliber rounds hitting or otherwise damaging the inside of your shotgun barrel?

  • Dave, personally, I prefer the .22 out of a Ruger MKII or 10/22 as my first choice of a one and only firearm, just because of the amount of ammo I can carry and that it will drop just about any game animal in N America. But I just saw an interesting thing you can do with 12 gauge shells to utilize a bird shot shell as a slug. Youtube The lost art of cut shells.

  • here in germany many hunters use doublebarreled shotguns or a drilling (three barrels) and they can just buy an "einstecklauf" (insertion barrel) if they want to use a smalle caliber

  • Obviously you have to clean the insert just like a barrel, but do you think that it will make it easyer to clean the actual gun cause alot of residue gets caught in the insert?

Also, if ure selling your old M5 scout......^^

  • Not bad shootin'---for a trained sniper. I'd be lucky to hit the tree behind the bottle.lol

  • Don't know if you have already commented on this Dave. But what do you think of air rifles. I've seen one that the guy actually hunts and kills a boar with a head shot ?

  • @hobo59 I was thinking this as well you could probably actually carve a piece of wood down to the right size and shoot it out of a pellet gun if you had to and kill or atleast stun small game

  • @BUCKrub91 I was thinking small pebbles.

  • Pretty soon your going to use that gun a a boomerang as well. Lol nice idea.

  • 20g and .410 sound like must haves to me!

  • I emailed this company about sending the inserts to australia months ago, never got a reply. they are a great idea

  • What that equals is DEAD squirrel! Good job brother!

  • Can you shoot 22LR Mags with that adapter?

  • wow hanx dave imgoing toget one right now

  • Just use a stick and poke it out!

  • Nice video. Maybe a small magnet might be an easier way to take out the 22 caliber shell quicker.

  • Hi Dave loving this series great work, my idea is to use this type of adapter in my up and under 12g so 12g on top barrel and 22 on the bottom thus always having the right load for the job required so simple thanks for pointing it out hope you and yours have a great Christmas my very best Michael S aka Roach

    magnets dont stick to brass

  • @TheCaryeHoy

    Sorry Dave don't understand this.

  • @TheCaryeHoy

Sorry Dave got it this reply should have gone to (shadeofgray001 above)

  • Thanks so much for this, Dave!

I'm gonna order a 410 and 20 gauge extender for my single shot 12 gauge now, just to give it a bit more versatility; and I'm pretty sure that the accuracy won't deplete that much if we're talking about strictly shotgun rounds.

    Thanks again for the tip!

  • @asheradensein when shooting a 20g thru a 12g using an adapter.. you actaully get better accuracy and patterning.

  • @TheKodiak72 That is unless you are shooting slugs

  • Vary nice
