  • I died a couple of times with this whn people throw it out jus to loose me life anyways good tip ill take it lolz

  • ok but f you are gonna do a random gimlet make sure your oponet (of course isnt blocking)and is in the air because you cant switch characters in the air and this also wont work of your oponent has only 1 person left

  • @fotofantom1 If you're going to do a "random" Gimlet when your opponent isn't blocking or is in the air, it really isn't random then, is it? Random means, no rhyme or reason, just throwing it out there with no plan. You analyzed the situation correctly and realized a safe, or correct, time to perform the super. That's not random. That's when you should be using it!

  • @zephyrblayze o yeah i guess your right well atleast know that bit of info but i probably dont even use gimlet that much mostly for assist counters

  • Hawkeye can still DHC into something nasty like a beam super if you do this. I wouldn't recommend ALWAYS raw tagging dependent on what kind of character he has after Hawkeye.

  • @Redhalberd Or XFC. DHC attempt will actually get stuffed at the right ranges if he was trying to delay the DHC. Even so, unless you're tagging in Strider, or another very low health character, eating a raw super on a fresh character is usually not as bad as losing your previous character with 50% red health to chip damage

  • Well. Now it's almost punishable as a Rekkoha.

  • THANK YOU

  • Vergil's DT Has Invencibility?

  • Hawkeye: NOW!

    Vergil: Now I am motivated!

  • Oh yeah! I was getting tired of people literally throwing their hyper bar at me.

Maybe they will learn to do some keepaway, instead of having him as a hyper-spammy-anchor.

  • On a similar note, in the same situation with Akuma, simply do a shoryuken (l,m,h, whichever) during the freeze animation of Gimlet and you can follow up with an air beam hyper if the angles right, or even x factor and punish. Obviously if you're up close next to him just use Mesatsu-Goshoryu :D

  • Good vid

  • i found this out already by chris g versus jago set

  • There is another character specific way to avoid grounded Gimlet too i found when i was testing this one out. You can simply DASH under Gimlet using characters with low hurtbox dashes, like, guess who, Wesker, and start your combo normally. You dont need to time anything, just mash dash when you see Gimlet.

  • @ClamperBR Deadpool work for this?

  • @ClamperBR That's kinda ridiculous! I just got around to checking it out, and this is 100% true. Wesker, Vergil, Deadpool, etc. Anyone who ducks low to dash forward can dash under Gimlet as long as they are already not in melee range of Hawkeye.

  • @ClamperBR wow damn this super is looking pretty bad now haha

  • youd have to literally be doing nothing in order to make this work. which in high level a good hawkeye won't randomly throw out a gimlet, but would wait for something easy to punish.

  • @iamsephiroth Even good players crack and throw out a random super once in a while. But I clearly didn't make this video for Justin Wong. Random level people do random things. People see Gimlet, sees how fast it hits, sees that it tracks your opponent and think that it's an okay move to pull at random. Gimlet has many uses, and the pros know that random use isn't one of them. Now hopefully more people know that.

  • Man, I can't even use Hawkeye. Fun to see him get pounded anyway ^__^

  • Vergil's devil trigger has invincibility? I'm gonna have fun with dumb hawkeyes now.

  • @madskilliz I don't think so. I think what happened was Vergil's Stinger ate the projectile. It does that.

  • @BEProductions82 It's invincible. Vergil's normals cannot eat high durability projectiles. In addition, Gimlet hits on frame 2 after the super freeze. The startup of Stinger is much higher than that.

  • @Zephyrblayze : I see... thanks for the reply. =]

  • @TheShadowloo as long as you have the meter or xfactor (if theyre desperate or down to just him) you can plus depending on the super your raw tag may trade/beat the dhc

  • @TheDeathfaker can you still punish them if they're in the air

  • @neon6 it depends on what you do to counter it, how far and high he is from your character and who your point character is

  • Yeah... I'm having trouble replying as well. @TheShadowloo Hawkeye can DHC or XFC. At the right distances the tag will hit Hawkeye out of an attempted DHC if he waits too long.

  • i cant reply to comment's what the hell youtube ?

  • When you raw tag, is there a chance of the opponent DHC'ing and punishing the raw tag?.. Or is it too late for Hawkeye to DHC?..

  • nice find..

  • wow... :-O

    -JB

  • Good tech. fuck hawkeye

  • good stuff, I would of never thought about that

  • Who's laughing now
