@iHeartinsidious Laugh-In would often run little gags across the screen during the show, unrelated to what was actually happening. (Ironically, this particular one happened to be true...)
The classic version of, "A Tisket A Tasket", my favorite Tiny Tim song. In my opinion, no singer could do it as well. The TT recording of, "Good Ship Lollipop" is in my opinion the best version of that song, with the Frankie Vallie version, a close second.
This was his first TV appearance. No one knew who he was yet. You have to imagine have NO idea who this lanky, pale man was- then he opens his mouth and this sound totally unlike what you expect, or had ever heard, comes out. Its a shock, and a bit funny. Later he became a regular guest and people got much more used to his style. He was still played for laughs, but he was still a well-respected guest. (And you know he knew exactly what he was doing. His Falsetto was what made him unique!)
Trust me, I know how it feels to be laughed at for singing in falsetto....I sing in falsetto quite often check out my video aspbie sings countertenor.

Smoking was so commonplace back in the 60s that you could walk into a bank with a cig hanging out of your mouth and no one would blink an eye.

Dans actually smoking a cig while doing the intro, how times have changed.

I laughed so hard at the facial expressions coming from the guy on his left when he heard Tiny Tim sing!!!
PS. I enjoy his singing. :)

Best stage entrance by a Star. More elegant and down to earth than Dean Martin., especially the way he lovingly removes the ukulele from the bag.

In the next show when New Talent Time came on,Dick Martin said,"You're not gonna bring back Tiny Tim,are you?"
In the next show Tiny Tim did come back and for the first time in prime-time sang Tiptoe Through the Tulips.
In the last show of the season,Tiny Tim came back and sang an encore of Tiptoe Through the Tulips, which had just been released as a single.
Veerrry Interesting-but a flash-in-the-pan.
