I went there in March of last year for 30 days...Thailand is fantastic. What you see in this video is only close to seeing how beautiful it is. You can go. Do it. I had a garage sale, sold things I didn't need or could use and that paid for my airfare. You can find rooms for 10-20 dollars a night. Backpack it and eat street food. I did a month there-including airfare for $2000. I know people who are living there on less than $800 USD. You only live once-Go. Contact me when you come back!

@MrBrownie145 I agree, it is a place full of tourists. Tourists get packed onto boats and driven out there, take photos, visit the bars and go home. However I still love going there and it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is easy to make your own holiday by hiring out a longtail boat and visiting some more unique places.

It really is that lovely. I've been to Ko PHI PHI ~ and most of Thailand ~ lived there for a year. You will not be disappointed. Make the adventure happen.....

I visited long before the tsunami, so I'm not sure how much is now changed and healing... but I can tell you that, when I was there, it was the most intensely beautiful place I've ever been. The ocean alone is worth seeing for its colors and richness. The sand is a creamy paste, like yoghurt and shell dust between the toes, and the water is the same temperature as the air; it's liquid sunlight. It's hard to capture this on film; I've yet to see a video that can match my memory. I miss it.

if you only travel oncr you have to go to thailand. the beaches are awesome, ko phi phi and krabbi. then go north to chiang mai and experience of this country that is paradise on earth. the people are so warm.you will never forget the experience.thanks for the good times.

Try BORACAY, PANGLAO BEACH and EL NIDO or even BANTAYAN Island.....

these places mentioned above are better than kho phi phi especially the beach of EL NIDO!!!(where God LIVES)

its not that expensive actually. the ticket may be expensive from US to thailand (approx less than $2000) but the cost of living in thailand is very very cheap.

One would have to change at NBO Nairobi, to get a plane to BKK Bangkok; then a plane to USM ko Samui.

There are many nice beaches in South West India that are comparable with those in Thailand; even Sharm el-Sheikh.

I was brought up 6 miles from the beach and my preference is for Honolulu HI U.S.A.

Ala Moana beach is beautiful and empty and has nice views, and the Ala Moana Y.M.C.A. is US$42.00 per night.

I have been offered marijuana on the street in Honolulu, but only once, the whole place is very secure and the are good medical facilites if needed.

Life is a Beach !
