for those brave servicepersons who replyed to greenbike11a how we support not just the troops, but the whole year they are away from their familys, all thow, some might find those army guys have overwieght and some times ugly wifes, along with bratty kids, you might find being away is a positive. plus they get to drink beer. why is it only ugly people are in the military? anyways lets support them anyways!
I support our troops who fight for freedom, freedom isn't free. bombing other countrys keeps us safe. our troops protect us. we may kill children, familys and innocent aninals, that is war. it's for freedom. our freedom here in the u.s.a. we need our freedom. if weed didn't bomb & kill others in their land, we may put are selfs in great danger. we can't help others, no we must set their homes on fire, make waste of their land, kill. we could send food, supplys & medical . seems to difficult.
I JUST WANTED TO POINT OUT A FEW THINGS ABOUT THIS VIDEO, FIRST OF ALL WE LIVE ON FORT LEWIS FOR FOUR YEARS UP UNTILL OCTOBER 2010 NOW WE LIVE ON FORT CAMPBELL. IF YOU LOOK AT THIS VIDEO AND THE ONE FOR FORT CAMPBELL THERE ARE A LOT OF THE SAME IMAGES, PEOPLE AND SCENES IN BOTH VIDEOS. HMMMMMMMM, NOW WHAT SHOULD I THINK????????????????
We have lived here since 2001 (besides the two years we were stationed at Ft Sam Houston, TX and Ft Stewart, GA.) We LOVE it here!! Live on Davis Hill. a.k.a. South side Hill top...The Parkway Projects are at the bottom, and Tillicomptum is just up I-5! But we really do love it here : )
Didn't think there would be a video about this place. I was born at this base. And family has been stationed there three times. Weird. But sorta hope to bnot get stationed there once I'm commisioned.
This is where we station at =) but I remember before we got married. The barrack my husband was living in is nothing like that at all.. it was a lot crappier!! I had heard of the new barracks .. the one they show on this video is probably the new one which is probably 1 building out of 100 !! LOL im sure they have to find a way to advertise ft lewis somehow..
@VirtuousLatina yeah we are moving there too at the same time. it will be cold when we get there but exciting. well better than where i am at now...lol
Spent two years there. Gave the U.S. Army the best years of my life. Looking to go back in but as an Air Force Jag officer. Ft. Lewis was the best duty station.
It's a great place to be, it rains a lot in winter but the rest of the year it's great weather. You're also close to a main metro area Tacoma is 10 min away and Seattle is 20 you can't say that for other Army bases throughout the country. Have Fun
We are only coming from Portland, OR so we are used to the weather. My fiance graduates from Fort Lee (92 Yankee) on the 19th of Feb. and she is taking 2 weeks off for recruiting and another 2 weeks of leave from what we hear. We are excited about a new lifestyle but are nervous about housing. I hear it is hit or miss. Thanks for your advice on local visits.
Ft. Lewis sucks. Funny how they didn't show 3rd & 4th brigades state of the art 1950's barracks. This place is also a black hole for your military career.
Getting stationed to Fort Lewis in April! 201st BFSB HOOAH!!
