  • i know those stupid cars and trucks think they could beat the train if i was them i would be patient i wouldnt hurry up and cross the train tracks when the train is coming

  • i remember back in the back it use to be a whistle. haha

  • My guess, from watching this video, the engineer must have had a bad experience at this crossing before, hence he layed on the horn 'way' before he needed to. but still..........good video, love the horn blast. well done

  • I took this video, abd burned it to a DVD....then i played it on my Sony surround system in my back yard.....well, all can guess what happened next. 5 stars...naw.........10.............splended video. keep up the good work

  • I'm sorry but if someone drove infront of and allowed themselves to be struck and killed by a train I was in control of, I would NOT lose a single wink of sleep over it, hell if you can manage to get hit by a train I say you deserve it. Barring passengers in said car...

  • I don't blame the engineer one bit for blowing so hard. The cars just kept going long after the crossing activated. It would really piss me off too, and I would do the same thing!!

    Besides, I love the horns!

  • @BrodyFarmBoy Probably a hobo.Hope he doesnt get caught. He should have chosen a boxcar. There is an Sundance Channel movie about hobos called "Catching Out"

  • Idiots!!!!!!!

  • And the car came to a screach'in halt!!..lucky for him!! Nice sounding P5!!

  • I am glad I do not live close

  • Fantastic Video!!!!! Great horn! Thanks so much for sharing! 5* and faved!

  • It's Horny XD

  • Same place where that dumbass trucker got hit!

  • DAMN!!!! that enginer held that horn for almost a full minute!!!

  • was the guy on the last car the conductor?

  • damn, they weren't wasting any time. they usually do no more than 10mph through there. or on any part of the line

  • That conductor on the back of the train needs to ask for a caboose

  • look like old c36-7A's

  • B23-7 or B30-7

  • @trainman071 they are not C axles you dumb cunt, they are B.. so no C36-7 dicksmack.

  • @trainman071 And there were never any C36-7A's.. only C30-7A's which only conrail ordered with 12 cylinder prime movers. you dont know shit jack, google yourself up to date on stuff

  • i think this was the spot where the IC train hit that one CRST truck!

  • Man that engineer sure loves the P5 horn on his engine! Man, he was just laying on it!

  • until you have sat in the cab of a train as I have an had a car pull out in front of you and you can really do nothing other than blow the horn. I would'nt be calling the engineer a fucktard. That is the hardest thing I have ever had to do is sit there and know your going to hit them and all you can do is sometimes not enough. The guy on the last car was the conductor on the train. He most likely walked the train and it was a shorter ride on the rear than the long walk back to the front.

  • Amen, Chris!

  • Yeah - the f*cktards are the car drivers crossing at the last second

  • @chris4dalejr i agree with you 5 million percent not only do you have to hold on but if you lets say hit a car with a family you have to live with that the rest of your life so who ever calls a engineer that needs to have there thoughts re- evaluated and maybe try the job themselves and then lets hear them say that again.i have a unce workin for the csx and tell ya again i agree with ya

  • holy crap the must have been stuck

  • Your a FUCKTARD! Personally I agree with chris4dalejr Let me see have you ever been in the cab of a 100ton locomotive knowing your about to crush a 1000 lb car I will bet NOT Asswipe!

  • Actually, that's a really dangerous intersection near where I live.

  • Wow!!!

  • wow, since when is enough is enough!?

  • the engineer was feeling a little bit horny... XD

  • Did anybody else notice the guy on the last car? What was he doing there?

  • The, er, handle must be stuck with glue or someting, geeze.

  • That driver has defniity run over a car before .. He was BLASTIN THAT HORN .

    AWESOME

  • Yah I bet so

  • I guess he doesn't know how to let off that handle. Kinda over-did it!

  • Wow. What an extraordinary video. 5 stars and a favorite from me.

  • Thanks, bud!

  • lol thats fuuny every one should do that but how do you thing th horn feels lol

  • great horn!!! :=)

  • New Cast P5

  • A 5* tears video!

  • he did a goodjob warning people, but i would feel sorry for the people living near the tracks and hearing that horn at like 3:00 AM! =)

  • Your right people get killed all the time because they are to impatient to wait! He did a wonderful job on the horn!! I think all engineers should blow like that.....it might get the message across.....stop or I'll blow ya to death! HEHE

  • Good job with the horn. People have gotten killed at these type of crossings.

  • pretty much the greatest video on the internet.

  • oh i would like to have that horn on my truck lol

  • Amazing horn, I love it!!!!!!

  • i love this horn!!!!

  • i love trains 5'

  • Man do I LOVE the sound of that horn

    5*!!!!

  • every time our diesels here on long island come into the station they set off about 20-45 car alarms it can get pertty annoying but the horns are amazin we have the k5ll and k5la horns

  • I wonder how many car alarms get set off by those trains right next to the parking lot. Also, it would be interesting if they ran lines *through* the parking lot right behind the cars. :)

  • Nice to see those ex-SP Dash-7's enjoying new life. UP sure didn't need them.

  • yah I was just thinking the same thing but that horn sounded more like a nathan P5 not origional to those units I dont remember SP haveing any of those

  • Woo hoo, awesome P5!

  • graffitti isnt art its vandalism, and it is a crime

  • Well, graffiti isn't always a crime. For example, I've been wanting to start buying spray paint and sheets of plywood and start doing it in my garage for fun, so, if used in the proper setting, graffiti is an art form.

  • @railmogul2 Damn, couldn't agree more, Bro. Sadly, tagging is part of our lives. :(

FYI, down here in L.A. for the metro system, the MPD are so serious about it now adays has led up to more than 8yrs! Well you know what, I wouldn't blame them, scew those asinie asshole peice a crap taggers!

  • he shure wasnt holden the horne long enough lol

  • I saw a train two days ago on CP that was 1 car shorter, and the CP GP38-2 at the lead was running long hooded. It was so loud I was able to make i to the tracks from 4 block away right as the gates came down. Sweet video!

  • Great Horn, Nice video. Check mine too eh... Canadian Style... lol.

    -Fellow Train fan,

  • yea damn he laid on that sum bitch

  • Good old "U Boat"

  • WOWO!!! Nice!

  • GREAT FUKIN HORN

  • good train

    i like the video !

  • What the name of the Railroad and what state and town was it shoot in

  • Its the East Penn and this was shot in Delaware crossing Route 52.

  • It's sad for the neighbors but that's what it take's for those stupid motorist! So next time neighbors, put the blame on the automobile invention, not your friendly trains!

  • LAY IT ON!!!!!!!!!! Great horn

  • This Is A P5 not a P3

  • Thats is just awesome listening to the train coming.

  • lay it ON!!! Good thing it's cool-sounding.

  • he was really laying it down huh?

  • Lexan was discovered accidentally by a chemist working on the development of a wire coating. Wonderful stuff, it makes Cuisinart bowls almost indestructible. The NC P5 was discovered by accident too, the best thing since sliced bread!

  • Awesome railfan video,Awesome horn!!!!!!!!!

  • Cool ! Almost like mine!

  • Yeah, that's a pretty busy road and the crossing has no gates!

  • Your neighbors must love you! ;]

  • Oh OK...THATS the town i was thinking of....Monchanin..on RT 52...I have seen these GE parked there several times...behind a restuarant...or a store of some type.

  • Yep, there is a restaurant there in front of the old Monchanin train station in which they were parked behind, they store some M/W equipment there too.

  • NICE HORN ON THAT LOCOMOTIVE.

  • Beautiful horn! Gotta love that Nathan P3.

  • It's disgusting! And not surprising, it's a new cast Nathan P5.

  • What'so DISGUSTING about it?

  • Well, most people tend to like the old cast P horns better than the newer ones. Nathan changed the casting foundries in 1977, and didn't use the original AirChime specs, thus giving the newer cast P horns a more harsher sound.

  • No no. YOU tend to like older ones. I like the new cast P3s and P5s. So bite me, the horn sounds wonderful, you have no taste. Of course you would want a Leslie, but let's face it. Leslie's and GE's just don't mix. Maybe an RS5T, but that's it.

  • Actually, it isn't just me. Alot of people hate new cast P horns.

  • That's great. That doesn't mean EVERYONE has to not like it. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. It's that simple. Tell EPRY that it's a bad horn, and they'll tell you "You gonna buy us a new one?!" The railroad makes those decisions. Not you.

  • Is this in PA on the east penn? Ummmwhere is gthis crosssing? Its not the Baltimore Pike crossing is it?

  • No, this is in Greenville DE., Route 52.

  • Ahh...Greenville, De didnt they used to park the locomotives there ocassionally?

  • Ive never seen them park locos in Greenville. The old Octoraro Railroad who used to operate this track used to store old Alcos about 2 miles up the line from this location in Montchanin, De. Ive got another vid on you tube of some old ex/RDG FP7 locos stored in Pocopson PA on this same trackage. Check it out!

  • If I would hear that horn I would stop. Why is it that people still drive around lowerd (lowering) gates???

  • Great Video.

  • Wow, that was a long one!

  • I counted 31 cars. That's one long train for EPRY!!

  • Octoraro used to regularly haul trains of that length in the 1980's...then things dropped off.

  • Yet another New-Cast Nathan P5. Although the NC P5 has a characteristic dischord, many people seem to like it best, and more so than the K5LA.

  • He is my ancle...LOL

  • That was the brakeman. I've noticed that if the train is longer than 15 cars, he usually rides the back, so the train can make better time so the engineer dosent have to wait for him to walk up to the lead unit.

  • Who was that guy riding on the last car?

  • i think he likes it

  • Do you see the traffic on the road?...can you blame him for the excessiveness of the horn?

I remember boarding the W&W excursions right there before that parking lot and it's associated building were built.

  • I would, too. I rode in a cab of a former N&W GP-9 #620 and BH&M H12-44 #1860 and the engineers let me blow the horn for the grade crossings. I was blowing the horn for a crossing near a switching yard about a 10 miles out from Linwood yard in Spencer on the NS and some retard ran out in front of us. The engineer hit the E-brake and I flew through the front door. 'Bout took the horn valve with me. I' ve heard those things can break easily.
