  • The 1980s in New York. Was fun and exciting

  • walking in la sucks.

  • living in LA during the 1980s must've been fun and exciting.

  • Love this song now! They play it where I work and its just so fun!

  • Motherfu*ckers still aint walking in LA. Been on the 405 lately?

  • Will ALWAYS be sexy!!!

  • Always thought she was saying.. "Walking in a lake."

  • i was walking in l.a. and i saw spiderman and a stormtrooper and they said pics for tips...i said back off mother bitch

  • Still my fav MP song...Terry had that odd look but smokin bod...man i miss the early 80s when we had real new wave and i actually dated a chick with pink hair...

  • @Nxthanos

Terry? I had it hard for Dale. Wow, what a slice of sexuality that woman was! I miss music!

  • Still my fav MP song...Terry had that odd look but smokin bod...man i miss the early 80s when we had real new wave and i actually dated a chick with pink hair...

  • jdsilence-she sure looks like a knock off of terry bozzio, now that you mentioned it ...

  • yes excellent album full of hot guitar, vocals and bozzio on percussion. was 82 that long ago?

  • @TheGardenman33: Thirty years, but this song came out in the summer. Right after I graduated from high school. I remember hearing it on rock radio while I was working a summer job. It was only then that I found out most of the band had worked with Frank Zappa - in my mind that increased their "legitimacy" ten-fold.

  • Fuck Lady Ripoff..

  • @pirate78118 lol... Lady Guyguy

  • why do you even talk about Lady Gaga....who is she?...Missing Persons are the real deal, i mean they are actually a real band,....thank you MISSING PERSONS for all the beautiful music

  • Be careful and watch our for those weirdos...Mr.... we are the weirdos.

  • AT THE CORNER OF WALK AND DON'T WALK

  • Don't compare this to Gaga, Just cuz they look alike, the music is worlds apart, and don't kid yourself Gaga is way better than this novelty song. If you disagree I don't want to hear your music collection. Katy Perry however is meaningless throwaway crap with no message IMO!

  • @Paracelsus23 Lady Gaga isn't fit to hold Dale Bozzio's bra strap.

  • @Paracelsus23

Gaga could only wish to be in Terry's breathe

  • @Paracelsus23 well , then jump off the board ,fag if you think gag my nutz is music,]

people are bored because of the african warbled hate speech that people think is music

is polluting the minds of youth, to create angst, among dumb white kids, that are fat or outkasts, no one wants them... so they gravitate to the ghetto to be accepted..... but the music still SUCKS..............

  • @SuperLimbwalker I'm interested in your point of view, you don't have to call me names, do you actually play music or sing?

  • why couldnt i grow up in the 80s?!

  • I walked from China town to Little Tokyo ;D

  • Lady gaga wishes, she couldnt carry Dale Bazio's pumps!

  • I use to live in LA and it's true nobody walks from Hollywood to Santa Monica. Everything is really spread out. You got to have a car or bus fair. Hookers walk in LA on Sunset Blvd. :)

  • @StaunchComic - I use to live in LA and it's true nobody walks from Hollywood to Santa Monica"

1983 was on holiday staying just outside LA, did not seem too dangerous a place. The 2nd night while walking to the corner gas station got stopped by cops, who had a hard time believing anyone would be walking to store at 10:00 PM. I had to show ID and explain from Canada on motorbike, and was just getting some exorcise. Now every time I hear this song, I think of that night.

  • Is it me or the drugs I took thirty years ago? " no one is walking, walking, walking. No one is walking, f*#king, walking......" Must be the echoes from the past.(*_*)

  • Really good drummer in this band

  • Yeah Walking In L.A.

  • @ogrebattle22763 How about walking in LV? Las Vegas that is along the Strip.

  • ...I do... :/

I need to learn to drive xD

  • Man the early 80s were a trip...Disco was still dripping along...And this kind of poppy rock hit and the girls loved and that meant us hard rockers had to put in on to get the party going..Drinks, Blow, CLub, Blow& Drinks, After Party...Fucking by 3...Repeat as necessary...She was a Playboy Floozie and I got to like their music and videos...Now Nostalgia...Good..

  • @1stSaintsFan Not playboy it was Penthouse lol!

  • @junkyturd Excuse me??Please read where I said Playboy Floozie.. Aspiring to an acting career since childhood, Dale was admitted to the performing arts program at Emerson College at the age of 16. Instead, she chose to work as a Bunny at the Playboy Club in Boston.[

Dale was named Boston Playboy Club Bunny of the Year in 1975.

  • @1stSaintsFan School these children, the 80's rocked

  • @dualityofman999 ..Yes indeed...School these children...LMAO....1983 BC....before crack...Terry Bozio was a hell of a good drummer and Warren Cuccurullo was a good guitarist..

  • @1stSaintsFan I remember seeing Terry at a one day drum clinic at a music shop in Tampa, FL., He was so good but, Today it`s a shame he`s a mess.

  • @1stSaintsFan

Did you have your "Crop Top" going on?

  • Sharp playing.

  • Saw them back up VH in like 80 Vancouver B.C. good memories.

  • i was at the laundromat at night with my sister, playing this in her Ipod, chilling, outside the big window was the rainbow lights of this city. I love my home, ill never leave LA <3

  • i heard this in forever21 today lol

  • this song is from the 70s or 80s theres no fucken way this lady is lady gaga

  • @Ryuzakiluver18 you're a 100% fucken dumb shit. Everything lady gaga is comes from missing persons, queen, steven tyler, joan jett. learn your music history and you won't sound like a dumb shit as you do. oh, and go fuck yourself.

  • @Ryuzakiluver18

1982, dipshit. years before Lady Gaga appeared on the scene.

bet you didn't even take the 1 second to read the description to know that.

  • this is what lady GAG is trying to emulate, but is failing horribly at

  • I was in walking in L.A. yesturday, litterally

  • @Ryuzakiluver18 "yes-terd-ay" not "yes-turd-ay" Are you a turd or a terd? Just kidding.

  • @Ryuzakiluver18 I have always loved walking in L.A. it`s a freak show depending where you are walking.

  • love this song!

  • still love the music

  • wut, lady gaga?

  • @JDSilence Lady Gaga is a cheap knockoff of everyone. She was created by record executives to make money, nothing original about it.

  • @TurboFuss1 really, stop trying to convence yo self.. everybodyelse knows this dork..

  • @yomamas177 rot in hell cunt

  • @TurboFuss1 couldn't agree more

  • @TurboFuss1 Lady Gaga has a degree in music theory from NYU, she was classically trained on piano and co-writes her own music. She makes money from her god-given abilities. Piano, a real instrument. How many mainstream performers play anything these days? How many actually sing without electronic embellishments? Youtube Lady Gaga NYU piano, and you'll see a different side of her, and so what if she makes money, good for her.

  • @drewvuong I have no doubt she may have some musical talent however that doesn't reflect her mainstream career. Her mainstream career is attention-driven sales which record labels and their rich executives master.

  • @drewvuong Did her uber rich parents pay for her education?

  • @JDSilence naw whore yo mama

  • l8r h8r masterb8r

  • I fking love this song!

  • I was not sure, but now I am,that's what she says in the song

  • Watching Ricky Lake.... Watching Ricky Lake... Nobody watches Ricky Lake.

  • magic mountain shows anyone.. 81/82

  • Ever see the movie "Lunch Wagon"? US Drag is the credited band (and is in the movie). It's Missing Persons before they made it.

  • this sounded so good the first time i heard it around the mid 1980s and it still sounds just as good now . i love dale and missing persons. saw them in a club in seattle around 2004.

  • oi, but that dogs was walking in that movie right? oh, it was good flick alright

  • Cat Lady!

  • @SilenceIntoSound - You forgot Grace Jones. I agree that Lady Gaga is not original, but she does have talent. Who is original anyway? Elvis copied James Brown, Little Richard, etc. They all copy or base their image on famous talent - it is what they do with their own talent that counts. No way could Lady Gaga make it just by copying past artists. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Missing Persons!

  • @1969Autumn

Wrong. Lady Gaga has no talent. The thing is she's immensely successful, so nobody in the media has the guts to stand up and admit she sucks. It's like when George W. Bush was president. Nobody in the media had the guts to stand up and say we elected a moron.

  • @chingchangchongfly Thats exactly like saying madonna had no talent. It holds no water in a historical or musical sense, madonna ruled the charts and changed the course of pop. That can't be denied. Don't throw away the zep or mastadon over it, just recognize that young girls buy music. I would like to say I find the pop lady gaga put out damn entertaining and refreshing. hate the game bro, not the player.

  • @pupilofreality Your rebuttal was written like something I might have come up with back vwhen I used to get high.

  • @chingchangchongfly Little over your head?

  • @pupilofreality

No, you missed my point, entirely. Your analysis sounded good but was completely unsound. I'll detail, by analogy, my deconstruction of it: By your formulation-- that popularity equates in some way directly with "talent--" Jackie Collins is a talented author, Steve Ditko is a brilliant artist, and Adam Sandler is a great comic film actor.

  • @chingchangchongfly You sound a lot like I used to when I'd get polluted. Knocking sandler? Whatever bro, maybe someday we will all know who you are also. Just hope it isn't because of those child rapes.

  • @pupilofreality

That's odd you would bring up child rape. The topic would have never crossed my mind. Good luck with that.

  • New Wave will always be better than Tween Wave.....

  • Good times.....

  • I AM WALKING PROOF, AS IT SUCKS IN L. A. WITHOUT A CAR, HAVE BEEN W/O A CAR FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. HEADING TO OREGON, THIS PLACE SUCKS MAJOR DICKS!

  • Im only 10 years old and ive already shot heroin. I did while listening to this song fucking awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheColtrain3 That is so sad although I dont believe you anyhow

  • @jimjago Coltrain is a troll. She's also 4 years old and already loves some lame band.

  • It was called new wave

  • I'd walk in L.A. Then again, I'm not worried about what people think, I'm not some weak ass pussy like everyone in L..A. and most importanly...I'd walk because I can. ;^)

  • @GrigoriZhukov making fun of cripples....heartless bastard.

  • whaaaaaat a great song

  • 11 people have never walked in L.A.

  • I PROUDLY OWN THIS ON CASSETTE! PLAY IT OFTEN AND PLAY IT LOUD! VERY TRUE, YOU HAVE TO BE DRIVING TO GET ANYWHERE HERE IN LA! TERRY BOZZIO IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE DRUMMERS, CAUSE HE DRUMMED FOR THE MUSICAL GENIUS, FRANK ZAPPA!

  • I PROUDLY OWN THIS ON CASSETTE! PLAY IT OFTEN AND PLAY IT LOUD! VERY TRUE, YOU HAVE TO BE DRIVING TO GET ANYWHERE HERE IN LA!

  • When I was a kid, I thought it was saying "Nobody walks in a lake"

  • @orangeTadpole Up until now, that's what I thought that they said.....

  • @orangeTadpole When I was a kid I thought the Motels lyric was "...only the lonely get laid" instead of "..only the lonely can play ". I blame it on the audio quality of cassette tapes....or pubescent fantasy.

  • @orangeTadpole I thought they were saying walking in the rain when I was a Kid

  • @orangeTadpole that was good LOL

  • @orangeTadpole From the 80's myself but I just discovered this song not too long ago. I finally googled it today to check it out and I google "walking in a lane".

  • Justin Bieber: I was sent by God to make music.

Missing Persons: We didn't send anyone...

  • Lady Gaga did copy this chick (Dale Bozzio) !! I Love Missing Persons,New Wave Music, esp. British New Wave...The music of today does suck !! I agree with you @MakesshiftMethod.. The Rap and Hip Hop is a re-hashed sound that's uncreative like old ass Country music,The Rock of today sucks because it's all whiney shit !! The 80's was a time when music was at it's peak. Even so for the video's.. After that...It's just a crap tastic voyage into nothingness...

  • Awesome!! One of our cross country coaches told me about this song, I love it.

  • @VictoryLane100 stupid

  • Damn, now i have to see Dog Problem again.

  • it's pretty pathetic that Lady gaga has to copy everyone else, she can't even write her own music, she uses prefabricated sounds like those pop bands that are put together by music industry CEO's. She actually has the balls to act like she's original and unique! I hate that fake ass bitch!! Why doesn't she copy someone lame instead of reminding me of musicians that I really like.

  • love it!

  • Excellent song!!!

It suited when it was on the hills season 1!!!!!

  • punk rock meets synth. awesome band. amazing musicians too.

  • gaga does look like her. somewhat. but bozzio is cuter

  • I love how no one can just enjoy the song they have to go OMG LADY GAGA COPIED HER!!!!

  • Well, if it isn't Lady Gaga back in the day. Examine her face.. it's Lady Gaga.

  • you were hot Dale, did you hang at the "Billiard Den" in the 70s,if not its cool, you guys/Berlin/80s period, and the 60s,keeps this old man feel young!!!!!

  • It's true, no one walks in LA

  • "Walkin' in L.A., walking in L.A-A!"~

  • Thats true

I sure dont walk in DOWNTOWN

  • A shame this song was not featured in 'LA Noire'

  • I WAS BUYIN THAT CRACK NIGGA MACARTHUR PARK I GOT FUCKED UP HOMIE MACARTHUR PARK DA HOME OF THE FUCKIN MS 13

  • NIGGA I USED TO WALK LOS ANGELES AT NIGHT, NIGGA, GOING TO MACARTHUR PARK...SLIGHTLY WEST OF DOWTOWN LOS ANGELES 213 REPPIN, FOOL CREEPIER THAN FUCK PICO UNION LATE AT NIGHT IS SOME SCARY SHIT

  • 10 people walk in LA

  • I RUN L.A.!

  • An old classic! Ya gotta love it

  • Oddly enough, this song always reminds me of the '90s Wonder Man comic book series, where people were constantly asking him how he got around L.A. without a car. Love this song, tho.

  • Why do people consistently watch these videos and immediately compare to today's artists? Enjoy what you like and people will enjoy what they like.

  • @jamescraig2000

amen brother. i pay for high speed internet to come to youtube to get away from the talentless freaks of humanity who have infected the music world with their sesame street contagin since the mid 1990s.

i saw missing perons around 2004 in some club where they played this cool song called "usa drag" or something like that.

  • @jamescraig2000 If today's artists weren't so full of shit and swear they were the best thing to ever grace the planet, THEN and only THEM might people let them be, but they, along with their fans, just can't keep their mouths shut and give credit where it's due.

  • only bums walk in l.a.

  • Get to see them live on stage Sept. 18th 2011 right here at musicians picnic dot org

  • Is anyone else have Jem and the Holograms flashbacks right now?

  • my favorite band, went to the record bar and bought it on vinyl.....back in the day.... whatever that means....

  • Missing Persons simply put is one of the greatest hit making bands in history. The songwriting and musicianship are unmatched today.Their songs stand the test of time.

  • @tizzod2 Hit making??Yes....from 1981 to 1983! Get real, Cool band, but didn't have the strength to carry them thru their decade! Blondie, The Pretenders, HEART and Pat Benatar (the Queen of Rock) has way over acheived anything Dale Bozzio would hope for. Get a grip and come back to reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @innamorata40 The only band in that list that's better than Missing Persons is Blondie. Heart, Pat Benatar? Sorry, but their music is quite boring in my opinion.

  • Ummm...for those who may have forgotten the name of this woman from Missing Persons...her name is Dale Bozio, her husband played the drums, Terry Bozio, she was hot!!!!

  • @IronMike55 does he play drums for korn? or am i bugging...

  • Love this song!!

  • Whatever her looks, Gaga has talent. Just listen to her voice. I LOVE Missing Persons!! 80's Rule! Platininum blond hair and an attidue- been done before?? About a million times. It is the talent that stands out.

  • @1969Autumn Lady Gaga may have a good voice, but there is NOTHING remotely original about her. Nothing. Lady Gaga thinks she invented "being weird." Toni Basil, Cyndi Lauper, Missing Persons, Eurythmics, etc got there first.

  • So, even though I had lived in LA and NEVER EVER walked in LA....this past trip I DID walk Hollywood Blvd and it was amazing!! I had this song in my head the entire time!!!!!

  • Travis AFB, 1983. Jesus, where have the years flown off to? Thanks for the kicks, Missing Persons!

  • that just absolutely rocks! Captures a place and a time so perfectly. Still in 2011 no one walks in LA...except during carmagedeon

  • yes she sure did i i thought of the woman of this band when i first saw gaga i thought of my god it's the lady from the band missing persons

  • doesen't the singer of this band look just like lady gaga?

  • @wintertimegirl yeah except the singer of this band had talent

  • No, Lady Gaga looks just like the lead singer of this band

  • @wintertimegirl No, Lady Gaga looks like Dale Bozzio ("the lady from the band" as you put it.)

  • 10 people prefer being stuck in traffic while driving in LA

  • the bozzio.s had the time frame down amazing they evolved from frank and or the mothers

  • the bozzio.s had the time frame down

  • I love the song! Thanks for capturing it onto a picture of the lead singer.

  • I'll be walking in LV, not LA.

  • Todays music sucks next to this

  • extraordinary!!

  • 8 people were caught in traffic in LA.

  • Gaga who? There is nothing new under the sun.

  • The drummer played with Zappa, and Zappa in those days got anyone he wanted.

  • @doug4326 Actually, every member of Missing Persons -- Dale, Terry, Warren, Chuck & Patrick -- played with Frank before the band was formed.

  • i remember my dad used to play this song and one called "take the L out of lover and its over" i love these songs!!!

  • @90brissy BTW, Take the L,, was by Martha Davis and the Motels, but you probably already knew that :D
