It depends how serious the grown up is about playing the keyboard and their taste in music. An adult could have a lot of fun playing the keyboard described, but would move quickly on to a keyboard band instrument or acoustic piano according to their likes. It probably would be less trouble in the long run to choose the kind of instrument for the style of music and learn on it rather than pick an beginner keyboard.
