  • looks just like mines. i just have after market tail lights and chrome wheels. and yes i like the sound of it dude!! \m/

  • sounds pretty sweet for a 98 v6

  • kan u plzzz tell me everything u did to this kar???

  • dude that sounds like my 05 mustang gt lol are you sure its a V6 lol but its pretty bad ass tho!

  • Very Nice Exhaust. Sounds very good to be a v6 Stang..

  • bleachking1000 that is a v6 not only because the way it sounds but because of the badging on the side of the fender

  • @matt98stang amen. I honestly don't even like mustangs I own a BMW but I can see your a true car enthusiast. That guy is just mad because he is stick with his 1990 corolla that gets 50 mpg, and he had to fund a way to make himself feel better.

  • @123cjg haha, i like mustangs obviously but i have two BMWs now. a 1997 M3 and a 1996 318ti with the california roof.

  • @matt98stang are the 1997 M3's still the e36 body style? if so then thats a sick ride you got. you should upload some vids of that if you havent. im stuck with an old '92 525i. any reccomendations for an exhaust system for my 525?

  • Only douchebags care about what their car looks and sounds like. If it gets good mileage and isn't leaking fluids, it's good to go.

  • @FelixTheNomad there are millions of people out there called, car enthusiasts. people who take pride in what they own and like to make what they own unique. if you have a problem with that why spend your time telling somone that is doing what they love that its wrong. There is a LOT more to cars than good gas mileage and non leaking fluids lol. These car enthusiasts i speak of, are the people who make cars in the first place.

  • @FelixTheNomad lol and you prob dont know anything about cars other then that

  • @FelixTheNomad I know i care about my car and looks and sounds and i care about the mileage and what it can do i have a 98 mustang cobra clone and its fast and it looks good and i beat a Gt with it.

  • @FelixTheNomad If that's what you feel why are you looking a video that says ''1998 v6 mustang exhaust'' if you only want good mileage from your car good look at video's of Honda Civic 1.4's or something crap like that

  • WOW, i have a 98 v6 myself, and i had no idea a flowmaster could make it sound like a v8! all i have is a CIA and the exhaust sound deepened a little, but i never thought an exhaust would make it sound like this. I thought it was a slight change sound

  • sounds damn good for a v6

  • dude that is not a v6 at all.

  • @bleachking1000 lol ya it is, it's mine.

  • @bleachking1000 you can tell in the upper RPMs

  • I had a question idk if u any can answer ....I'm deciding wether to get a mustang v8 or v6 but the thing is that I'm going to use for a daily drive so idk if the v8 will waste too much gas who knos what the difference on v8 and v6 on gas mileage ?

  • @theBONES805 theres alot of variables to consider, some v8's have a different rear end gear like a 3.23, the v6's came with a 2.73 rear. but when it comes to mpg numbers from the factory usually their will be about a 5 mpg decrease in the v8, not so true in the 05-09 stangs but my model v6 got about 22/28 , ive heard worse figures. my cobra got 28 hwy and about 18 city, and that all depends on how you drive. my cobra has seen 12/15 and the v6 has seen 15/18. For a daily, the 6 is just fine.

  • Tell me exactly what you have i want this exact kit on my 98 v6 it sounds great !

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa flowmaster force II exhaust, after i put on the exhuast i got a shop to cut the y pipe off then add straight pipes from the cats back to the flowmaster mufflers.

  • What did you do to make the exaust sound like that. I got the same car and I love the sound. VERY NICE!!!

  • not bad man but its not what it sounds like or how it looks its the horsepower and torque you put to the ground and how good you are at handling it.

  • @clodbmx o i know, check out my other videos, like the 0-60, ive got a turbo for it just have to find a place to do the piping

  • i have a 98 mustang with a roush kit side skirts front bumper and spoiler .. i wonder how much those kits go for ?

  • How much did that whole set up cost ? and would it sound better with a stick shift ?

  • @vexis1213 i paid i think at the time around 500 for the flowmaster super 40's and the custom straights pipes from the shop cost 80, but since then there has been alot of people promoting v6v mustangs and shops have been listening so you might have a cheaper deal out there.

  • @matt98stang and the transmission wont make it sound different.

  • @vexis1213 lmao what does the trans have to do with it?

  • this is the shit i only wish my 98 sounded like this i cant wait

  • Very good sound

  • hey it sounds good. the flow master 40's seem to be popular. i have a Pypes mid-pipe with a SLP loundmouth 1 cat back on my 98 mustang. check it out on my accout

  • V6 too

  • what exhaust???

  • flowmaster super 40's, then i got the y cut off and two straight pipes leading into the mufflers

  • hey i have the 1998 V6 3.8 also. i want to take off 2 of the 4 cats. is that going to mess up the O2 sensors? if they do mess up would they right them self? and your car sounds great.

  • thnx man! actually im not too sure but you would have to have some way to fix the sensors cause the check engine light will be on and it will also confuse your engine and make it think its running too rich. it easier just to go straight pipes. i just got a cobra today btw lol some vids wil be up soon!

  • eh man i have the same mustang as you i put flow masters on mine and it dont sound that good what exoust did you use

  • sounds more like a v8 than a v6, damn man

  • that was one of my goals, glad to know i succeeded!

  • V6 huh...i don't know if I buy that, but if it actually is, then that is the single best sounding V6 mustang i've ever heard.

  • Thnx! i promise its a 6 ill make a video and post it because i lowered it and she looks good now.

  • ya, i saw some other videos under load and i believe the V6, still sounds really good though

  • nice soun. i personally like the 99-04 series but yours is sweet

  • I have a stock 2006 v6...sounds a lot better than mine!!! I don't want to put any aftermarket stuff on it though because I personally think its cheezy to mod a non performance car...aka ricers.

  • thnx! if your talking about a 2006 v6 mustang then you have a muscle car. mod the heck out of it and beat the ricers!! lol muscle cars and tuners are the only way to go!!

  • plus you have to start somewhere, why not with exhaust? if you dont mod it itll be stock. modding it wotn make it a ricer

  • mustangs will always always have that "I will rape you" sound from the exhaust

  • @mo4life123 too bad the bark is worse then the bite, js.

  • @hitman45400 too bad i got a cobra that can talk the talk and walk the f'n walk.

  • @mo4life123 Best comment ever!

  • Im almost tempted to keep my single exhaust just maybe enhance it with a better muffler..! I stomped a little rice car this morning, I think it may have been Toyota inline 4 or maybe a Civic..anyway, I really had the feeling that I was out tourquing the other guy more than anything, We never got above 70 but that low-end and mid-range tourque was fucking him over! Id hate to lose it, the single port 6 seems more about tourque than anything else, I wanna keep that, to me its more a useful power.

  • ya i understand what you mean, torque is our best friend but honestly you cant tell any difference, and i even cut the y off the flowmasters and put straight pipes from the cats to the mufflers on. if your still worried about that just go to rpmoutlet and order some underdrive pulleys and that themselves will free up the extra horsepower/torque. but don'e stay with the single exhaust, the sound will just make you enjoy the ride more. sometimes i wonder why i have a radio, ha!

  • Yeah, I considered doing the same think. The cross-over on a H-pipe doesnt really do much anyway so, why not straight pipes? and I heard that the X pipes really lose a lot of TQ on the bottom-end. I do all my own work, so instead of modding my rear-end Im thinking of just dropping a GT rear into it, Im thinking that I could get one of around $150 from a Junkyard and just go with it but I havent really studied the job yet. Maybe find a alum driveshaft that would work, less rotational mass.

  • Im planning a head-swap too, my rotating assy ir really good I built it myself and my bearings mic'ed out to .002in on both mains and rods..so a headswap is a sound idea on my bottom-end. I just wish I had used the chrome rings b/c at the time i didnt know what a difference a turbo charger could safely make on a Essex. I could have also had my heads shaved for higher compression but there was a gas crunch at the time I and decided agains it, I kinda regret that shit now!

  • where did u get the flowmaster force II and do u have stock headers on it.

  • heres a link to the page where i got mine from, i have stock headers but i cut the y pipe off the flowmasters and put straight pipes right before the cats

  • sorry dude, but where was the link to that page???

  • lol sorry i forgot to paste it haha

  • sounds sweet man i had a flowmaster 40 on my legend loved the way that car sounded

  • tkae out the straight pipe it gives you the noise but not the power dude, add some throttle body and a spacer in there and you will be humming

  • im going to do the throttle body but i heard the spacer is just a big waste of money...

  • na dude i got a power aid in my 98 v6 and it gave me 20 stangs

  • i guess the best thing performance wise would be a split port swap an a good tune. ur v6 isn't really gonna get much more power unless u do major shit to the engine. most of the little import cars w/ smaller v6s will beat us cause we have ohv. u can get urself some underdrive pulleys for 100bucks an free up 14hp

  • hers the list of what ive done to it.

i beat v8's a lot but the more modded one's still got me at top end, so like you were saying about the split port swap, instead of doing the swap cause that was wayyyy to expensive i got a 01 v6 engine really cheap at a junk yard and im modding it out then dropping it in,

i dont have much hp but its quick and when i finish building my split port in my garage then i'll drop it in.
