The edges are not sharp and they are covered by the new foam. I have never received a report of anyone "wiping out" because they could not steer their bike with an SW. If you could not steer with it I would have been sued out of existence long ago. Perhaps you did not ride it long enough to become acquainted with it. As far as the "copy" comment goes I am afraid you are incorrect. The USPTO granted me a patent first try and within 3 months. Sorry.
I brought one 10 years ago from buddy directly out of his basement and mailed it back 3 weeks later, hard to steer the bike, plus I concerned about having my junk sliced off with the razor sharp edged die cut stainless steel platforms. Just a poor copy of a old mid 1970's idea. Good to see he did some R & D in the last 10 years but still is a scary seat.
The short answer is yes but I have 4 different models and would be glad to give you a full consultation to see how we might be able to help. Please ca;ll me toll free at 1-877-977-7328. It is best you call as that will give a more "fluid" give and take.
I bought this seat last year and it's the BOMB! I ride my bike everyday and now I don't get my junk crushed after long rides. Literally this seat has changed my cycling life, Thank you Jeff. (P.S. It's pretty cool that when you order the seat you actually talk to this guy in the video... Not like some huge company that doesn't care what happens when you buy their stuff).
@pezuno So do you still use the Spongy Wonder after the last time you commented on it being an explosive lol. Is your riding for comfort? You just can't find these on Ebay or Craigslist. How much did you pay? Did you ever consider the Spiderflex or have any comments about this seat?
