I busted my bellhousing at the dragstrip last month. It flipped the transmission over under the car. I pulled it out and it doesnt look like anythings damaged other than the housing. It had been rebuilt a few years back and worked great. do you think i could just put the parts into a different case?
can some one help me please. i have a chevy 250 tubo C tranny that i put into my truck, it only lasted about to miles. i belive this tranny needs a special touq converter. lock in? or lock up? any ideas. help me please
My 1989 Chevy had 700R4 tranny in it and that blew up, so we had a turbo 350 layin around and i want to put that in but the output shaft is too long and the transfercase wont mate up to tranny. Does anyone know of an adapter to mate up the stock transfercase to a turbo 350. Not sure on the transfer case but it was bolted up to a 700R4. we have a small stock adapter that came with 700R4 its about 4 inches wide and about 2,3/4 to skinny.
Anyone can do this trans in under 8 hrs first time but you need space the more the better i use a 14 foot long bech and never get confused about parts there are always a good deal of parts in any automatic trans.
Talk about needing a dip in the parts wash! Gosh dang! You may not have thought that was bad, but I'm not in the trans business, and I keep my tranny spotless inside!
im actually looking for a video on rebuilding a power glide transmission as i have been wondering how hard they are to rebuild & if any special tools are needed

powerglides are one of the easiest transmissions to rebuild, no special tools are reqired except for maybe a torque wrench? Thanks for the comment.
