To truly have no backpressure at all, the whole engine it's self would have to be in the open, with no valves to limit flow, or else there would have to be negative atmospheric pressure, sucking the exhaust gasses out.
You can run open headers/manifold on a stock engine as long as you want, and not run into any problems.
Of course the engine seems a tad lazy in the lower RPM's due to the torque loss, but face it, who drives or races at 1,000 RPM?
Depends on where you live. I have an older car with an open downpipe, it's loud, and legal. The car doesn't have to pass emissions, though. I'm gonna put a cat on it, catless smells like poo.
actually minor gains on top end power, slight loss on bottom end torque, and if its cold out and u have short headers u can warp the ex. valve from sucking in cold air
"and if its cold out and u have short headers u can warp the ex. valve from sucking in cold air"---only if you run open headers and its not tuned for open headers because it will be acctually running a little lean and it dosnt have to be cold it just makes it run even more lean if its cold.
motors dont need exhausts to run. Only time yo uhave motor troubles from running no exhaust is when it makes you run lean and that only happens when your car has a carb and dosnt adj its self.
I hope that is your car and you're not two mechanics working on someone elses car...

its bad for just about everything because there is no back pressure on the stock components. you can run open headers but it takes some work

What kind of headers are on there? Or is that the stock exhaust manifold?

stock manifolds

wats open header mean and is it bad?

means nothing after the headers, and its not really bad, but it is not legal

it make the car loud and give it more power and make it sound cool
