yeah that video quality was one reason for buying this cam. but my first testshots in AVCHD where quite dissapointing with also lots of artefacts and blurry image, though i use a class 6 SDHC. please give us some hints, like was there a lot of editing and which autofocus setting did you use? thank you a lot!
which is better for recording video at night HX1 sony or Panasonic TZ3 (7)? battery lasts few minutes to record, thanks in advance, excuse my poor English, Greetings.
Have you noticed if this video shot in scene mode of high ISO is more grainy, or does it not affect the video at all? If latter be the case, then I guess you might've shot in iA or Normal mode.
Ah thanks for your answer. I'm planning to buy a TZ7/ZS3 yeah. I had one (European model) a couple of weeks ago but returned it because I want a NTSC model (60p and no 15 minute recording limit).

@subcyber I sold this camera last year...
So I can;t remember what mode I used.( I guess I set it full auto mode)
and I don't recommend to use over 10X zoom(tele zoom qulity is not good as you said)
I just gave sharpen option when i encoded this clip. that's all.

I don't have zs3 anymore(I used zs3 for ten days and sold it)..So i can't reply about your question.
Now I have Sony HX1 and it can take video on High ISO mode, too.
As you said the video is more gainy and more brighter
But there is not much big difference between them
