I think Ron Paul just really makes the other candidate really REALLY uncomfortable because they know he's right. Look at how they respond with mockery and how they look down at their feet, looking like guilty children that did something wrong.

When they mock Ron Paul's statements, they mock the US constitution because that's where he derives his politics.

Well... I'm Canadian, but American politics affects my country A LOT and I love the US. I love its constitution and those who wish to abide by it.

I am a patriot of Canada, a patriot of America and a patriot of any country that's core belief is that of the freedom of the individual (though the current governments seem to be ignoring this value).

It's shocking to me how many Americans point to Canada as the 'model' of universal health care with aims to emulate your system. I like the fact that if I'm concerned about something I can just walk into a clinic, get a prescription, go to the counter and pay little if anything.

When I go to the hospital, I get taken care of there by professionals who care, and the idea of being billed is pretty foreign to me.

The system is FAR from perfect but when politicians even MENTIONED privatization there was public outcry.

I am sympathetic to Americans who've faced hardships due to government greed and incompetence in this matter.

Me too. I walk into a clinic and pay 15 dollars for service plus 2 dollars for parking. The monthly cost of such insurance is approx 612 dollars of premiums (HMO). But the tax is 15%- 20%. Can you say the same?

If the difference in your tax (at 60%?) amounts to 612 dollars, than who is ahead? We still have a voice to demand surgery or fight the case for alternate remedies and relatively on a personal schedule convenience. Can you say the same?

Ron Paul gets very emotional when talking about bringing the troops home. I look up to him for that because the other candidates are laughing and laughing while more and more troops die. He is the only one, I think that cares about the individual soldier in Iraq and the threat of death they face.
