  • Hay liked the way you play. good Job!

  • Very good arrangement of an Iconic and Wonderful Hymn ! I to am trying to learn the Organ here as well. Good Luck and keep working at it, You can never be to good at something! :)

  • Very wekk done. You look about the age I was when I suddenly found myself having to play the church organ. I'll pass along two tips that were given me: 1) it's not a piano, crawl from note to note, and 2) play as if you were singing.

  • I agree that it needs to be smoothed out. Some organs have a dust cover (it's supposed to keep the dust off the keys) and locks. I hate having to put all the stops that I use back down again (I leave them down on the church organ and my home organ, but not with pipe organs or even Rodgers organs)! Fortunately, the organs aren't so big that I can't do it in a reasonable amount of time. I probably would have used a different registration too.

  • Very good I am the organist at my church and i cant not do the walks and i think they are amazing and sound great!

  • hey thats awesome, that walk up from B flat to E flat is kind of hard, i have trouble with it. Koodoes for being able to play the organ!!

  • The to the person who wanted to know what model, it looks like a 301b. The price today would be between $3000 and $1500 depending on the condition. They are very good long lasting organs. I think they had more then one computer in them some only had one. Good job. It is a shame she wants it locked, as organist I never lock ours.

  • Sorry for the delay in responding.....I recorded this well over a year ago....i am not the organist at this church and the organist at this church wants it always locked up so I do what she says so I am still allowed to play it. I do not know the cost of this organ. The only thing I know is that it is around 30 years old.

  • thats awesome, do you like to add some notes into it, i think it sounds better with an A grase not in the petal before hitting the B flat after the F

  • very nice sounding allen organ, what si the cost of that organ

  • Chop, chop. Depends on your congregation and the piece. I find very precise playing helpd slow to sing congregations. Preciseness cuts through as a piano percussion. In other times, very smooth legato playingis needed. To do it proeperly you need finger substitution. On jass, block chords on a Hammond B with Leslie churning is great.

  • Don't listen to these idiots that say "no chop chop", each person plays different, and I like your style of playing... Very nice!! If everyone played the same, it would be boring as heck!! They want you to play every piece on an organ just like you're playing a hymn for prayer service... Set your own stops (your way), and play YOUR STYLE!!

  • Agreed ... don't play an organ like you're playing the piano. It's like you're pushing the notes. An organ is meant to be played smooth. Bless your heart ....

  • Is this an ADC-4100?

  • smooth it out. Don't chop chop chop chop on an organ. Especially an Allen. And WHY people lock the organ console I'll never understand. Share music.

  • @cmoore479 the reason the organ consoles have locks i because some people like to mess with the organs and sometimes mess them up. so its best to keep them locked up from kids or meddling people

  • if our church organist locked our organ, I wouldve never discovered my passion for studying organ & I'm 17, was about 14-15 when i had a passion to start learning organ. I used to play the organ in my church when no one was around. that's when my love for the organ grew, & I could become familiar with the organ in a very intimate way, like a real organist should. I don't know how you could screw up a organ, unless it's just to plain vandalize it.
