  • I thought that the arcade version of the music was a bit weak and that Rob Hubbards version of the tune was far better to be honest. The 7800 does have a better rendition of the Arcade music though (in fact I'd say it's better than the Arcade version). It's a matter of preference I think.

    I don't think the Pokey had much problem with the C64 version (or at least I don't remember any problems from when I did it), and I can't see the original music being difficult to do either

  • Hmm, why the C64 music rather than the arcade music? (I know the XE prototype cart's music was a bit weak, but the 7800 showed how it should have been done -it had TIA to help, but POKEY should have been able to do it if it shared some channels with both SFX and music and cut the least important musical sounds to play FX)

    That's one big thing the 7800 had over the C64 version. (on top of much better graphics -arguably better than the NES even)

  • Thats pretty cool. If that game would have came out 30 years ago, standards woulda been higher than most the crap games that were made.
