I listened to this on a car ride today, and I came to realize of what Tom might've meant in this song.

The story is about someone who enjoys life but is confused about the whole heaven/hell thing and what it means to them.

In the end of the song it is God talking to that person and is wanting to show them that there is another life after we die and showing how peaceful it can be and not have them miss out on it.

Does this sound like a logical idea?
