Sorry guys, you can't expect to have 1st World standards of cleanliness when you flood your country with millions of people from the 3rd World.Face it,the 3rd worlders don't care about picking up litter, that's why the 3rd world is the 3rd world.I remember the days when the streets were clean, but that was before the Multi-Kult.More educated Anglo- Euro's,no more 3rd World deadbeats.
How can I resist adding a comment to THIS? I had NO IDEA YouTube could possibly have retrieved this gem from more than 30 years ago, and so many miles away! THIS was my first ever "starring role" in a TV commercial! I am the guy with the umbrella (the behind-the-back-into-the-bin-in-a-single-take guy) I was 27 and living in Sydney -- and proud as punch to be on national TV...oddly enough that anti-litter message is as relevant and universal now as it was back then...will we ever learn?
hi filmextra. I'm the mum in the commercial cheering on her athletic son who 'does the right thing' at , that this was so long ago and now the world is finally catching on! Keep well and enjoy that fabulous memory of your moment of fame (bit short of 15 minutes for the both of us). I live in the US now and miss Oz every day.
Hey you know what, just about the only thing I remember from this advert (aside from the jingle) is your umbrella wielding performance - you must have been doing something right to have occupied those thousand brain cells of mine for the last 30 odd years!
LOL... what a jingle :-)

I was at school when this ad was on TV in NSW. I was in love with the girl on the right at 0:37.

They need to bring this ad back or revamp it as I think the message is lost on our younger generation as well as respect for our elders..

Victorian? I was in Sydney in 1981 and this was definitely the campaign slogan ad there at the time!

Why can't it have been used in both states? I'm Victorian and I remember it well, particularly the freakish hockey guy!
