  • LOL... what a jingle :-)

  • Did you know throwing used chewing gum down on the ground is considered litter too? Visit Gumraps dot com to learn more...great video!

  • Sorry guys, you can't expect to have 1st World standards of cleanliness when you flood your country with millions of people from the 3rd World.Face it,the 3rd worlders don't care about picking up litter, that's why the 3rd world is the 3rd world.I remember the days when the streets were clean, but that was before the Multi-Kult.More educated Anglo- Euro's,no more 3rd World deadbeats.

  • I was at school when this ad was on TV in NSW. I was in love with the girl on the right at 0:37.

  • Top ad, helped make environmental acts a moral obligation to me as a kid

  • Do the right thing, toss it in the bin!!!

  • Was that Malcolm Fraser at 0:44?

  • I thought it looked more like Michael Douglas lol

  • They need to bring this ad back or revamp it as I think the message is lost on our younger generation as well as respect for our elders..

  • Village grand prix at blacktown, that place was awesome.

the karts had jet ski motors.

I used to wear my ugg boots and me flanno there!!!!

  • How can I resist adding a comment to THIS? I had NO IDEA YouTube could possibly have retrieved this gem from more than 30 years ago, and so many miles away! THIS was my first ever "starring role" in a TV commercial! I am the guy with the umbrella (the behind-the-back-into-the-bin-in-a-single-take guy) I was 27 and living in Sydney -- and proud as punch to be on national TV...oddly enough that anti-litter message is as relevant and universal now as it was back then...will we ever learn?

  • hi filmextra. I'm the mum in the commercial cheering on her athletic son who 'does the right thing' at , that this was so long ago and now the world is finally catching on! Keep well and enjoy that fabulous memory of your moment of fame (bit short of 15 minutes for the both of us). I live in the US now and miss Oz every day.

  • Hey you know what, just about the only thing I remember from this advert (aside from the jingle) is your umbrella wielding performance - you must have been doing something right to have occupied those thousand brain cells of mine for the last 30 odd years!

  • DID YA MEET THE SPUNK AT 0:08?

  • hehehe wow that was you? awesum. we dont see more ads like that no more. good commercial- and jingle too. love jingles.

  • man i remember that commercial...the good old days man

  • This gave me a flashback like a smack in the nose - i could actually remember the smell of the streets around Coogee and Randwick!!

  • Victorian? I was in Sydney in 1981 and this was definitely the campaign slogan ad there at the time!

  • Why can't it have been used in both states? I'm Victorian and I remember it well, particularly the freakish hockey guy!

  • my mother is in the commerical! She's the mum in the green shirt whose son was running in the race :-)

  • wow really? damn she was a good sort back then hehehe. thats cool.

  • remember it perfectly

  • The can that the kid with the trophy throws into the bin after winning the sprint is LEED LEMONADE! That's as big a flashback as this ad is!!
