what a great album, one of their heaviest they ever produced,,truth is guys,n,gals, slade were incapable of making bad music,,they were just so naturally talented,, they werre awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,,period,
Have to agree with you all. I was probably at the same gigs as you guys. They never let you down at gig. Be it your local Odeon, Town Hall, Festival or club, Slade ruled. In truth they were not just gigs for me they were where I went to get re-vitalised and revved up for life until the next time.
Everyone has the same opinion as me, pure class, i saw them over 30 times live, great gigs and awesome albums, you always got the album quality sound on stage with the atmosphere of the best live gig...KOR
to this day...I can't attend a concert by ANYONE without comparing it to a Slade gig...they really spoilt me for live gigs...no-one comes close....the energy and excitement...unbeatable...oh...and this was their best album.....
I can only agree with the comments below and add that of ALL the many, many, many gigs/bands I've seen that SLADE were the best 'live' band.
Should also like to add that the album this is off - 'Whatever Happened To Slade' is one of my favourite studio albums they ever did and would highly recommend it to ANYONE who has not heard this EXCELLENT album!!
Isn't about time Slade were given the credit they deserve!
It is tracks like this that the radio stations should play.
They had far more talent than people realise. I have always thought them great!
I have seen the Stones, Zeppelin, ACDC and many other greats. Slade as a live act could give all of these bands a run for their money and even better them. They were one of the best live acts I have ever seen. Brilliant!
@gibbons so right mafriend, they were so talented, its just a bloody rip off they are not in the great al time bands to come out of the uk, noddy and jim should be mentioned in the same breath as lennon and mc cartney,
That's pretty cool, partly because it's utterly unlike everything I've ever heard by Slade.

This reminds me of when i saw them at the Rainbow in 1977.
They were without doubt the best live band i've ever seen.
"Absolute class", and totally underrated.

@perth45 Only Leonard Cohen and Phil Collins can get close :) Same with me. I also compare every band with Slade and always negative result.
