Pretty nice playing and singing mate, the chords are pretty easy to understand, but just the strum pattern is a bit hard to make out. Is it possible if you post a pattern up? like e.g. down down up pause mute etc
@TraceurTaine Thanks for the kind remarks. First of all I rest my right hand on the top 3 string to dud them slightly. The strumming is pretty regular throughout. The emphasis is on the downstrokes ar each change with an occasional upstroke of the open B string. As with many of Iron and wine songs the playing is really low key and repetitive but it works.
Both the structure and chords are the most accurate I've found, however you don't specify the chord variations nor do you show the neck or where to put your fingers, etc.
The cover itself is good, but the lesson is difficult to understand. It would help a lot if you put links to a tab, or annotations to show the chords (I'm viewing this on an iPhone, so I can't see them, pardon if you already have them)
I agree, maybe we will get lucky and get a tab. I'm having a lot of trouble playing this song for some reason even though I'm doing everything he is doing my chords sound different and I have no clue what it is but they sound like completely different chords. PG, do you have any insight as to why my chords sound somewhat more high pitched than yours? I keep thinking its probably the gauge of my string but I thought they sounded pretty low pitched when I've tried to play other I&W songs. Help! :(
you play well, but either you're not quite enunciating or you just have a deep quiet voice because it's a bit difficult to understand you when you're walking through the lesson.
Also as said by others, a closer view of the neck would be helpful.
You're correct. There is very else out there about this song. Often YouTubers will leave a chord listening and a short description in the video description. Take it easy.
Thanks for the suggestions. This is my first upload and I can see what you mean. I don't think there is anything else out there about this song All the chords are partial chords and the high e string is never played. There lots of chord charts online Look for Cmaj, D, and G I hope this helps. Paul
This guide is really nice, only thing I could ask for is a close up shot of the fret or maybe links to finger arrangement charts for us dumb "no proper musical education, reading from tabs to play anything" guys :P

I could also just have the chords wrong but I'm 99% sure I don't. And I am dulling the top 3 notes.

@rahelswolf Please send me an email address and I'll send you a tab and some tips that I wrote that may help

@PGRating, as I see it, your version is the best one on youtube! Although, I'm having trouble with the chords.. =/
Would you mind posting the tabs for each one of them? It'd help a lot! Thanks, mate.
