  • Dude listen to this and the to Im true By chamillionaire . YOU will lol!

  • the land mass at that time was connected not different continents,

    continental drift.

  • ummm..... Kangaroo’s are a species native ONLY to Australia, which means it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for them to get into Noah's ark, which was on a completely different continent.

Also, penguins are a species native ONLY live at the North Pole, so yet again - IMPOSSIBLE for them to have gotten into Noah's ark either.

and ummmm... wasn't the original story ONLY 2 of each ???

the ants go marching two by two the little one stop to tie his shoe

the ants go marching out and about in the rain

    ??

  • @NomseXx

Well originally it's about the animals going on to noah's ark, the version you've typed seems as though it was designed to be a more politically correct version by removing the christian reference, because obviously not everyone is christian or would appreciate their children being tought it, though it is a fantastic song to teach children to count hence the numerous versions. See Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep for another example.

  • @nekogod Although this is really not that close to Biblically correct anyway. Funny though, even growing up in church I never heard the song sung by this version. There are a lot of different versions all based on the same traditional tune. Looking it up, it's really not immediately clear that the one version came after the other, or at least not recently. And that Rainbow Sheep stuff seems to be an isolated incidence, not a widespread rewrite.

  • woah goose chocks >.<

We learned it in school, when I was in sixth class...

  • That gangplank must be pretty strong to bear the weight of 10 elephants at the end!

  • There are so many versions of this song but I still can't find that instrumental version that was used in Die Hard 3 - With a vengeance. Can anyone help me???

  • @TheHeir23 You may want to look for ' When johnny comes marching home"

    Which is the original song

  • It's called When JOhnny Comes MArching Home, civil war hymn

  • @TheHeir23 search Die Hard 3 vengence ants go marching

    Amazing chord progression

  • There are several variations of this song such as "Who Built the Ark" and "One More River"

  • we used to sing this in assembly! aww, those were the days...

  • This song has some sweet chord progression...what chords and being used?

  • @staplestaples

It is in the key of Aminor It starts off with Am and E back and forth than when the verse starts the order of chords is Am- C-,

    Am- C E,

Am- G- F- E-, Am G F E Am. Then it starts at the beginning of the verse again.

  • Fairy tales are great for children to teach counting. But don't teach them there can be any truth in this, please.

  • i am with you, but you cannot change people's minds about what they wanna believe. Let them believe anything they want as long as they don't bother you. They will make children with the same brains......so what....my granpa said 'take care of your own intellect love and let the others remain behind, you cannot save the world.....' As is the song is ok.......

  • I LOVE IT :)

  • i don't really know why. but this song is really scary

  • @demonprinceofkhorne they use the tune extensively on "Dr Strangelove", it is most certainly a scary song! But also beautiful.

  • @Mahmhn

The original tune originates in the 1800's, and is a war song. Their are two versions, one Irish and one American, and while its disputed which came first the American "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" is far more famous and probably the version this song "borrows" from.

  • @Mahmhn cool

  • the animals went in 2 by 2 (8) ;)

  • Actually Noah only took 2 animals of each and all of his sons came with there wife as god demanded. And was in for fourty years. The bible is true :D

  • days, not years

  • @Alexsbiggestfan11 Yeah. It's true. Totally.

  • @Alexsbiggestfan11 Sorry, but Noah was not in the boat for 40 years. It rained for 40 days, but he was actually only in the ark for a little over a year.
