Someone sent a message sayng my info was wrong.. it's not wrong.. I have documents from the Moncton Museum to support it = The initial cement roof caved in. Then it was replaced with a wooden roof. The rink was used for hockey tournaments & a skating rink. No one died in the fire when the roof burned. It's been condemned & the cement walls still stand today in SunnyBrae..down the street from where I once lived.
oops - my bad - the hockey rink was built in early 1900.. It was well used & hockey was a huge thing in town then. The other info is all correct regarding the roof - I obtained a document from the Moncton Museum to confirm everything.
Does anyone know what that round building was. I remember visiting it during a field trip in 9th grade but cannot for the life of me remember the name of it. Thankssss Oh I miss home. Living in Maryland now but will be there in July!!
