I must say, I think Andy Serkis is the most underrated actor we have right now. He's awesome, and he gets almost no reconition because he does a lot of motion work. He deserves more.
It's so weird- Andy's so gentlemanly and well spoken in real life, and you look at Gollum and Caesar and King Kong, and all ou think is "BEST ACTOR EVER!"
Because, with the mask, it's easier to "erase" him from the scene and replace him with the CGI model of Gollum. Without the mask, his hair would be A HELL to "erase" (with all the strands sticking out). This is also why his outfit is white; it's easier to spot the edges against the generally dark backdrop.
i was laughing the whole time while watching this. he looks so funny. if i had to work with him for this kind of thing, where he is gollum, i wouldn't be able to keep a straight face XD.
It's just so sad that he couldn't be nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. He deserved it. Yeah, I know, it is fair that he couldn't because his character was CGI, but it's still a great performance that he's given that deserves the recognition.
