I am a graduate from Vancouver Film School who graduated from Film Production class 126. Just recently, I started my own production company. I've shot my own short film with a number of graduates in my class, from the Writing Campus, and the EBM which stars Connor Stanhope, who played the young child actor Lex Luthor from Smallville. If you have a chance, check out the film on my channel. Vancouver Film School has prepared me well enough for me to shoot this film. Thanks! ^_^
very nice. Although it does annoy me that people have to associate compassion with religion; as though we have to be religious in order to be compassionate. Its a bit insulting because I am not religious but regard myself as being compassionate.
good job. it still confuses me on y people hate christians when this is what we beleave. if we beleave in love like this, then what did we ever do wroung?
not usualy i was intending metoforicaly but i would not like to be pelted with brim stone either.

I really enjoyed this. =) I really admire you for having the courage ot post this, I know with being a christian myself, a lot of negitive comments about the christian faith often become present.

i love this vid about how god saved us from going to hell and living there for eternity and while i was crying i prayed to god for forgivness and to keep me as holy as possible
wow...that was very heart warming, i was like :o when he removed his heart (memory thing w.e it was)into the red robot. Im christian and i believe what the bible says. 6 stars thanks for pointing this out :)
that has to be the best Vancouver film I've watched so far. and that's almost all i watch on youtube now. great song choice and love the Christian theme because it relates to me.
That was a really great film. I loved the way you got such plain and featureless robots to convoy such great emotions. But, I hated the biblical verse at the end. the great thing about making a film is that such a wide audience read different meanings in your film. My son nearly died in hospital, and your film took me back to that moment, but with the biblical verse you forced your own interpretation onto the audience.
Once again, even in your reply you are forceful in your opinions 'telling' me that your opinion and belief is fact, when most of mankind have woken to the fact that it isn't true based on open mindedness and researched evidence. I am not starting a theological debate, I am writing to you as a film maker, as I can see you do not understand the power and potential of film, simply using it to force onto others a religion that you happen to have been born in to.
you are being more "forceful" then yoopermichigan. and noone has proved or disproved the exsitence of God, nor will they. that is why it is called FAITH
and the maker of a film can use it in what ever way they want. u dont like it, then go make your own.
I am a professional film maker who has made 62 films (for TV and festivals, not short youtube videos). The existence of God has not yet been proved or disproved, but in terms of Christianity, your book and theology has been disproved constantly. In fact, I was not forceful in preaching what I believe. I simply stated the fact that most of the world now rejects the bible.
You're making a lot of assumtions. Each filmmaker has their own motive for creating film. It would be wise to realize that the target audience of the film might not be you. You're also assuming that the author was born into the religion they believe, and believe it for that sole reason. Religion is more than just something inherited from your parents. However, if that's how you like to view it, I suggest you keep your naive or apathetic comments to yourself.
I have no problem with a film maker propagating a religious belief in a film but there are more intelligent ways of doing it then sticking biblical verses at the end (take the Pretender Foo fighters video for example, the blood of christ defeating the army of evil). I did not post a comment as a christian hater, but as a film maker, and I posted the comment as advice, because I hated a part of the film.
There is nothing wrong with good and bad criticism, it all helps. It is you christains who have reacted agressively and rudely. If I am not from the films target audience then it should have come with a warning "Made By A Christian For Christians Who Will Hate You For Any FeedBack" Why is the positive part of my first message being ignored?
All I'm saying is that you're bringing up points that have no use here but instigating arguments. It's hard to make a negative criticism without being viewed as a flamer. I admit, I'm guilty of this as well. I do agree that a subtler message is better recieved, but the format here is just fine with me, no matter what message is displayed at the end.
and about being born into it, i wasnt. i made the choice myself. there is no such thing as being born into it because if you are going to truely believe in something then you have to make the choice yourself and at that moment nothing else matters. its just you and the choice infront of you, regardless of upbringing or the like. yes upbringing has a bit to do with it but at that time its just what you feel and believe.
I think this would have been better if you hid the spirituality by changing the title.. into something like "The Love of a Father". So when people with father issues watch it, they'd be surprised to know that the perfect Father they're looking for is Heavenly, you get what I mean? When they know that it's about Jesus by just reading the title, the non-Jesus-loving ones wouldn't care to watch it. Just a suggestion. Good job, though. Cheers!
A very nice movie but from 00:23 to 00:43 the kid seemed kindda unappreciative. Still the father was nice but the guilt that the kid caused his fathers death would be haunting (or at least to me it would)
