It could be an ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) issue, when Ubuntu or any operating system tries to use such features, the computer shuts down thinking it received the command to shut down. This could be worked around by turning such feature off in the BIOS or in the Ubuntu Boot menu.
@Nas49Razing then try another drive. if it wont boot off of a CD, then the lens might be broken or dirty, or its a motherboard failure. It cant be the last one, so swap it with another one first.

@nelizmastr 2gb RAM, 4 years,I think the BIOS is from 07, No haven't tryed another Drive.
