Two cups of raisins is LOTS of sweetner! I have a smoothie every morning as follows: the fresh-squeezed juice of an orange, lemon, and lime; two strips of fresh pineapple (about 3/4 cup); one whole kiwi; one big kale leaf and a hand full of spinach; one frozen banana; one cup of frozen blueberries; one cup of frozen strawberries. I also add in 2 tablespoons of flax seeds and 2 of chia seeds. By using the frozen fruit, you don't have to add ice.
haha lucky you got a cool blender... I am always afraid that the blade in my blender will come flying out and slice me..... it just gets hot and sometimes doesn't move. Can't wait to get a better blender one day. Hope it is on sale to cause 500$ for a blender is insane!
How are you doing with the raw thing? I don't feel I can really do it until I get a dehydrator and think I will just do 60/80 per cent raw. A bitch needs some cooked meals every now and again! Hehehehe!
Hey Matt I have 2 questions for ya. First can you do an update video on how going raw(mostly) has effected your psoriasis, since you've been raw for awhile. Also, I've read that going raw is a good way to not only detox and get healthy, but to shed a few pounds in the process, so in your experience does it help with weight loss at all? Thanks!
@AurynThePaladin I actually did the Raw diet for about 2 months and lost just over 60lbs. It is an awesome way to loose those pounds and a super super healthy way. Just a little insite on your questions.
Are you still trying to eat a majority of raw stuff? Seems like maybe you are like me.....It took be a lot of years to get to the point where I really just plain don't like cooked foods.....I think it's easier to gradually change the diet instead of cold turkey changing everything. Anyway, that does look like the primo blender!
I went back and forth with my pet foods for a long time before they lost their appeal due to the way I realized they made me feel. I actually crave greens like kale and mineral rich seaweeds now because they make me feel good. That's my trick......when my brain starts associating feeling good with a certain healthy food, then I crave that food. The vegan cooked foods were making me feel dense and heavy and bloated, without any energy. I wish you success in your raw food adventure too.
@ravendream33 Do you know of a good book with a lot of info and meal plans for raw vegan? I actually gained weight when I turned into a vegan....haha my bad I love the goodies but I really am digging this raw vegan diet and would like to get more info so I can go 100%. @IampureSol .....I recommend David Wolfe's book, "The Sunfood Diet Success System" for one, because he explains a lot how people can overdo one type of food, and that can lead to cravings for the opposite type of food.....like if you overeat nuts, your body will crave greens to balance it out.....
@Iampure Hey Lampure. If you are still into raw vegan eating, I HIGHLY recommend the book 80 10 10 by Douglas Graham. To be honest, David Wolfe is in it for the $, and a "snake oil salesman". He sells ant extract and deer placenta and puts out a lot of dangerous misinformation.

I tried going raw on 1-1-10 and lasted a week. So, now I'm just vegan with an interest in raw. My diet has not effected my psoriasis.
